I meant to post the signing reminda me of theo ratliff back in the day lol, had such high hopes that time but didmt play mucj before collecting checks for doing nothing
The Lakers asked the NBA office for a light skinned brother exemption this year. Otherwise, we might have to make some roster changes. 2 way contract man doesn't count, so.....Zubac and Bogut? No american whiteys.
One of my favorite interviews from Media Day when Bres talked to him on Spectrum SportsNet for 5 minutes. Smart guy!
He's Croatian and he and Zubac know some people in common from there?? LOL I've always thought he was from Australia. **** me in the ear.
Bogut is an Australian Croat, while Zubac is Bosnian Croat, just to clarify it. Both speak Croatian, of course.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ership-experience-youthful-los-angeles-lakers Disagree here. He should have practiced swinging on the rim. "The elbow and wrist was the same injury, Amar'e [Stoudemire] gave me a little push, and I dunked [but] couldn't hang on [to the rim]. What do I do in the offseason? Practice swinging on the rim? So that is why it frustrates me at times about having that label, but at the same time, I understand it. I have been hurt a lot, but I have always bounced back from my injuries and generally came back and played pretty good."
After listening to his media day interviews and reading up on him and his background in this ESPN cover, I'm digging this dude. Speak on em big fella!
I'm actually looking forward to Bogut playing. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm sick of watching Zu play terribly. Very disappointed in him so far.
Saw Zubac in the second quarter when I tuned in...disappeared after that. He seems to be struggling keeping up with the pace, heavy legged on the run. Zubac fares well on half court sets where he has good instincts. Bogut? Probably will give us six to eight minutes of mistake free ball...keep people off the rack. Lead bouncer off the pine.
I'm not expecting a lot from Bogut but if he can give us a handful of quality mins behind Brook, I'm all for it. Zubac has clearly shown he needs more work before we can rely on him.
