I had other stuff to do last night so I recorded the contests. 3 point had some awful performances, but Gordon was impressive, plus Nick didn't do bad at all. Dunk contest was awful except for maybe 3 dunks, but I guess how could it not be after that legendary one last year. I've no interest in the actual AS game. No more Kobe, and a lot of players I don't really care about or like. It's a bit of a down period for all-stars, there's a lot of good players, but not rosters full of all-time greats.
I saved hours by reading the commentary here and seeing 1 highlight clip. Sounds like my regular Laker routine lately...
This all star game isn't a competition, this all star game is barely sparring, this all star game is like shadow boxing with a lampshade on. Hopefully something spaks in the last quarter. No Kobe means no competitive fire. I remember all star games that would be littered with all timers. Magic, Malone, Pippen, Jordan, Bird, Hakeem, Shaq. They don't make'm like they used to, but they sure do fake'm. I still want the West to win.
24 is no longer part of The Association but Westbrook is the closest to his aggression even in All-Star Games...
To call that a game would be extremely inaccurate. I wanted to see 200 points to see if it was possible with zero defense played, and we almost got it. But the all-star game isn't a game, it's a shootaround.
Boring cr@p. The only conclusion I can make from the All-Star weak-end is Irving thinks the Earth is flat.
