    :Pelinka Double Thumbs Up:

He’s earned a shot to compete for some real playing time.

We do have that LethalShooter coach on the staff... Williams would rather mix it up inside where he is comfy leave the scoring to everyone else. Hearn would say "he wouldn't shoot if you put a gun to his head." :)

On topic: Caruso has proven some value during the latter part of the season plus the squad seem to like him. I hope he stays aggressive when he is the game. Caruso and Cook could be a competent duo as a reserve backcourt.

Caruso earned the right to stay on. Excited to see his continued development under Frank Vogel and Jason Kidd.

Congratulations AC. No more 2 way contract BS to shuffle around. Work your a** off this summer and try to win the starting slot or 7th -8th guy off the bench and play significant minutes. There were times a couple years ago when AC would sub for Lonzo when he was playing well and would smartly play a similar kind of game minus Zo's differentiating talents. Now AC is a better shooter than Lonzo was. He doesn't play with nearly the heavy gobs of deli mustard on his game that Rondo does. Takes care of the ball better and knows his limitations. Not to mention dunks with no regard for human life.

Really happy he got a 2 year deal above the minimum. He deserves it ... and it could very well end up being a steal for us in year 2.

Fun part is you can see Lebron saying "goddamn ... really?"

But I would have to say dunking like that can be hazardous to one's health. I had years of back problems from landing wrong after skying like that. By the time I got to 30 to 32 or so, my game was very firmly attached to the floor and I lasted a lot longer that way. I can think of guys like Stockton, Nash, Payton as examples of point guards who played closer to the floor as they got older.

I don’t know about racism, I think it’s more reputation, egos, trying to keep others happy. If Rondo has Caruso starting over him he’s going to feel insulted because of his reputation, former champion, big time playoff performer, but he’s not that guy anymore, he’s aged and declined, it happens.

I think we overrate Caruso and his shooting. I think his shooting toward the end of my the season was an outlier..

However, Rondo is so bad that Caruso might be the better fit w/the starters...

He is not a great shooter, his form is weird, he is ok. But yes, he is so much more of a plus over Rondo in every other area, defense, running the offense, athleticism, speed, all of it.
