Ennis was a rated as a very good prospect out of college... Caruso has more of the innate play-making instincts however. Had one shot at the top of the key that barely grazed the front of the rim, a bad shot at the corner (though in fairness the shot clock was winding down) but did score on a reverse. Was part of an odd line-up in the second quarter. I do trust Caruso most of the time with the ball. He is a good interior passer with our bigs and will push the ball.
Ennis plays such a weird, lazy game. Caruso is more engaged and is twice the defender that Ennis is. Caruso can see the floor so much easier than Ennis who at times misses the wide open, easy passes. Caruso is a solid 3rd string PG. Ennis is a solid negative on the floor 98% of the time.
ennis isn't skilled enough to be that slow at that size. you can live with two of the three (see calderon's old a** schooling us at times last night), but if you've only got one, you're out.
That’s genuinely good news, our squad is basically back to full strength minus Hart, and if Ennis isn’t doing well, or we simply don’t want to play him, well there’s Caruso to the rescue.
Speaking of Travis Wear and Alex Caruso the South Bay Lakers are on one of the ESPN channels right now leading OKC 46 - 34 in the 2nd quarter.
I could’ve sworn there was a report a few weeks ago about him nearing the limit of games he could play for us because of his 2 2 way contract, but he’s played several times since then. Did we convert his 2 way contract into a full deal or something?
Why on Earth would we play Penis over Caruso is beyond me. Must be that contract days limit b*******.
Had something like three shots blocked, looked jittery handling on ball pressure with several bad passes and deflections. Threw away an inbounds pass on a crucial possession. Forgettable night for him.
