Everyone? So I am moving the draft 2 hours earlier? Or 1?
I agree with the FGA, I mean really..... why is that even a category, lets make people try and draft guys that just chuck shots. I too try to stay as far away from FGA and FTA as possible.
Holy crap. I wanted to use the standard cats. This somehow got messed up. Fixed.
I'm over seas so id prefer not too early in the after noon
edit: oh 1 hour is fine!
either 5:30pm or 6:30pm pst would work much better for me than 7:30...and it looks like 6:30 is the most popular vote so far. i just hope everyone else notices the changed time.
Moved draft 1 hour earlier. Sent an email to the entire league.
just finished my keeper league draft and am not happy about getting the number 1 pick in this league. My other lg I had the number 3 pick and got Davis. I dont want LBJ but I dont want 2 lgs with Davis.
LBJ it is
just a reminder the draft is at 6:30 now. there are only 4 of us here right now and it's 6:23.
Anybody else use the yahoo fantasy app? It displayed the chat as nothing but white text bubbles with no text....other than that very very happy with my squad
totally spaced it... oh well, i don't hate my team too much aside from harden
How does everybody like their squad?
I think I am going to kick your behinds.
My team's official slogan is "f*** free throw %"
-Dwight Howard/Michael Carter Williams
^ Michael Carter Williams shot 70% last season.
Dammit. George Hill is out 3 weeks.
Not great for a pg. Hibbert shot 77% last season.
Well, that is indeed common wisdome, isn't it. One that I always felt was a bit too simplistic for my liking,
It doesn't matter if it's for a PG or C. The only thing, IMO, that is important in context of FT% is the amount of times one gets to the line.
70% on 2 FTA won't make any difference. MCW had 5.2 FTA last season, to 367 total FTs. He made 258 FTs. Had he shot a much more respectable (by
general consideration) 80%, he'd make 293 FTs, or 34 points more over the course of the season, or 0.5 more points (he played 70 games) per game.
Now, you can argue, that due to him being a mere average FT shooter one or more of the following:
his defenders could be more physical with him, without too much of a harsh punishment, resulting in easier time for the opposing defense
he shied away from contact, thus being less aggressive, resulting in easier time for the opposing defense
he cost his team some amount of close games
Any of those would need context and observation, as all stats. In and by itself, 70% is irrelevant.
