wade was harden's forebear moreso than lebron. as sirron noted, each has outstanding strength, body control, and initial burst, but each also had some fatal flaws (for wade, couldn't shoot; for harden, not an explosive finisher and has no off-hand). each learned to make up for this by (illegally) capitalizing on their strengths. and while i dislike both, it's really about what they signify. the league is the real culprit. they've allowed (instructed?) officials to make those two superstars because each was in a big market that needed a boost (don't think harden gets these calls if he's traded to indiana) in a league looking for people not named kobe to prop up.
I felt that Harden learned from master KD while he was at OKC. It was KD who invented that illegal swipe move Been very impressed by Jrue Holiday these playoffs. Nice to see him do very well despite all of those injuries he's suffered. He's shut down Lillard and has been great offensively. Playoff Rondo has also lived up to his name too. ...And someone became the reverse Harden!
remember when philly fleeced NO in the jrue holiday trade? https://www.libertyballers.com/2014...ers-jrue-holiday-nerlens-noel-trade-nba-draft bird in the hand, mofos. it's really funny reading that now, btw. top 10 picks!
Totally agree with you on this. It makes me appreciate all the more and wonder about Kobe, trying real hard to be objective with no purple and gold glasses; what "superstar treatment" did Kobe get in comparisson to the egregious BS Harden, Wade, and Lebron get from the refs? Harden: ridiculous uncalled travels, pushing off, offensive flopping, illegal swing through to get fts on shots, and charging or jumping into defenders and getting the call. Wade: charging or jumping into defenders and getting the call. Lebron: ridiculous uncalled travels, pushing off, offensive flopping, and charging or jumping into defenders and getting the call. He's huge and strong and gets hit a lot with no calls at times, so there's some balance there. Kobe:.......um.........getting away with some nasty elbows to defenders who crowded him? Yelling "HEY" too much, which never worked to draw fouls. he had the hand-in-the-cookiejar swing through to draw the foul, but they outlawed it because of him and KD.
Dennis Mitchell isn't afraid of the moment. The Jazz scored big time drafting that kid Jazz steal home court advantage and looking good.
Dennis Mitchell is actually Donovan Mitchell.... With that said, i'll be impressed when he scores 25 without taking 25 shots. Yes, he seems to seize big moments which is a plus, but he is a guy that needs 20-25 shots to get 20-25 points...and doesn't offer any other above average ability except for scoring.
His mother calls him Dennis LOL, but y’all aren’t insiders like me and wouldn’t know that But how’s this?
You know its bad when Ricky "I only play well vs the Lakers" Rubio outscored OKC's "Big 3" in a playoff game.
I feel so bad for Pop and what he has to deal with right now, but I thoroughly enjoy the beat down the Warriors are handing to the Spurs. I feel bad partly because out of all the historic rivals the Lakers have had, I respect the Spurs organization the most, and battles we've had with them. I don't know, I feel dirty inside.
what was the Portland-NO regular season head to head? Because the Blazers had a chance to choose their opponents but won their last game anyway...
It was tied 2-2. I think people slept on the Pels due to the Cousins injury; you can never count out a team that has playoff Rondo. I wouldn't mind him here as a backup; we'll eventually need that experience when we get into the playoffs.
Yeah, I'm pretty blown away by NO right now. They are just demoralizing Portland. 0-3? Not looking good for PDX. At all. I didn't foresee Damian and company going down in flames like this.
If i'm Dubs right now, i'm seriously considering throwing a game... or two. Give Steph some more time to rehab, Pels and a playoff Rondo are no Spurs.
