I don't wish injury on anyone. But once it happens, I can't enjoy it when it's a player that probably deserves it? It's like when something good happens to somebody and someone says "couldn't have happened to a nicer person", except the exact opposite. No douches deserve whatever they get more than CP3 and Griffin. Again, maybe the bone in that hand had gotten weak from punching so many dudes in the man zone, and it finally gave out. :Kobe Snickering:

Wow. Huge loss and what's the news with CP3? Hearing he might miss anything from 2 to 5 weeks. Clippers being Clips but hey DJ gets to be the man now.

So it's basically Jamaal Crawford, DJ, and JJ Redick, who is reportedly having issues with his left heel. Blazers have a chance to get to the 2nd round. Golden State should be able to beat them without Steph.

This is the Clippers, they are cursed, the curse is real. They will never win anything, I and many others said as much after they choked last playoffs. They will always find a way to lose. It was noble of Paul to try and turn it around there, but the curse got him, and I were him I'd run far away this summer, demand a trade. Griffin, I'm sorry, I can't feel sorry for the guy, maybe stop punching guys in the face.

I don't like the Clippers at all. But I don't like this situation at all either. We know all too well what it is for your Playoffs expectations to be turned around 180ยบ. I don't wish that to anyone, not even the Clippers.

I remember in 2013 when I was suddenly starting to believe we were going to make something in the Playoffs, after a long season where we were battling just to get in (we were pretty much out, actually). But at the end, we Kobe'd our way to the Playoffs and we were winning pretty much everything. I was thinking "damn, with Kobe playing like this, we might actually have a deep Playoffs run", and then came the infamous Achilles, which pretty much destroyed me from inside. I was sad, I was angry... it was horrible.

No, I don't want to compare Paul and Griffin to Kobe. Paul at least did fight to keep the Clippers as a good team, but what Kobe did just can't be compared to anyone... but I think it does help giving an idea about how it must be for the Clippers. It sucks.

This must be for all the times Doc mentions Perkins going down for Game 7 of the 2010 Finals or KG being hurt for the 2009 playoffs. I'd bet money on Doc saying something ridiculous next preseason. "Yeah...so we were on track to win it all last season. We had the Spurs number. We had the Warriors number. But then CP3 and Biff..err...I mean Blake went down. So I'm just going to pencil us in as champions in the media guide and in my heart for 2016. In fact, I made a banner out of butcher paper that says 2016 NBA Champions in puffy paint. I hung it in our locker room since Adam Silver wouldn't let us hang it from the rafters in Staples Center."

^I read that account of Rivers quoted on it...the Perkins analogy. I just rolled my eyes. I have so much disdain for that organization and that team. Loads of noise with nothing to back it up. I should go to Clipper websites and amuse myself...

Agreed 100%, real. The TV market thing is a great point and they have utterly failed on that. Fox offered them 60 million per, Balmer came back wanting 100 million per, then they dropped it down to around 50 million. Even with our low for the Lakers ratings this year and them winning games and having Paul and Griffin, they had much lower ratings than we did.

They need to start over in Seattle. Like you said, obviously not this coming year, but maybe the following one.

CP2 has never been healthy during each of the 5 Floppers playoffs "runs" ... Griffin had some injuries during at least 3 of them from what I remembered .

    Nothing surprising here .

They're older too so, you know injury prone players will not suddenly acquire invulnerability in their old age. In a way this was expected.

Cue Barkley and running his mouth about what it's like when you're an older player. I wonder if he watched that 4th quarter of Kobe's last game since GS had it wrapped up, and who he was with and if he was as in awe as everyone else, and what was coming out of his mouth that last 3 minutes and 15 points no missed shots. Note to self watch the damn game again.
