well some Clippers fans were rejoicing when Steph got injured, never be happy about an opposing player's injury, that's the karmic rule
So let me get this straight...in a span of 2 days...we fired Byron Scott, immediately making our future brighter....and a day earlier, it was announced that Curry would be out a minimum of 2 weeks..possibly longer...which would open up the path for the Clippers to make it out of the second round for the first time like ever....and then today, Chris Paul suffers a broken hand, rendering him out for the playoffs...and the Blazers take game 4 in a very confident fashion and look to possibly upset the clippers in the first round? Can you say...best...two...days...ever?
I don't actively wish harm on any players, but I'll say this - one guy I have no sympathy for is Chris Paul. Same goes for Blake Griffin. Also Dwight Coward.
1. You never wish an injury on a player even you hate him 2. As a B-ball fan , I want to enjoy the playoffs ... 3. The postseason is weird and have less interest without a deep Lakers run... unfortunately it becomes a habit
I dont like clip but cp3 is still one of my favorite pg... It is sad for the playoffs, and i dont want to see neither sas or cle in finals...but steph and cp3 injuries makes sas path much easier... Btw i read somewhere that blake is injured to,if it is true that can only be carma for deandre
I never wish for injuries on people. I think it's incredibly poor taste. That doesn't mean I feel sympathy for him though. He's a piece of crap who pulls stupid antics constantly. I don't know where or when he became the personification of the Clipper curse, but I don't feel bad for him. I hope the Blazers win the series. Despite myself, I like Lillard and McCollum is a good story. They'll get manhandled in the second round, but that's okay.
really hope gs takes care of houston tonight, else we might see them luck into the conference finals again. travesty.
Agreed 100%. The Clippers are a snake bitten franchise. I think if Balmer is wise he gives them a couple more years (which probably won't deliver anything) and then moves them up to Seattle for a new start. Maybe even calls them the Sonics again, although I don't know if he can do that or not. He would be a hometown hero, Seattle is a great basketball town, the team won't be playing second fiddle in their own arena like here, and I think they could truly reinvent themselves.
It makes way too much sense to cut bait and run this summer if they lose to the Blazers now. I mean seriously it just makes way too much sense. Trade Paul away this summer to Cleveland for Kyrie. Move to Seattle. Market yourself as a young franchise on the rise, come check us out. Get your own exclusive tv deal. I'm calling it now, if the Lakers have a great summer and the Clippers continue to find the tv market to be lukewarm for them at best, they're moving next summer. They won't do it this summer because they don't want to look like they're running from the Lakers, but they'll do it in two summers and revamp their franchise. Become the Sonics again, be a young-ish team built around Kyrie and Griffin. Get away from being the 2nd team in LA and embrace being the only team in Seattle.
Pffttt. In his prime, in the playoffs, Kobe would have found a way to be out there. Probably a worse bone to have broken but he played with his wrist ligament blown and gone forever one season, and a splint on his shooting hand's broken finger another, like the next game. Obviously no else but Kobe did that. He and Vitti would have rigged up something and he'd have shot with his left if necessary and tried to find other ways to contribute. Or not.
