We choked... This is also choking. You could just see in their eyes how scared they were in the last game when the Warriors wouldn't go away. Durant and Westbrook don't know how to win yet unfortunately.
Russ and KD are talented enough but not smart enough to win a title ... They don't trust their teammates in the clutch at all too ...
I think OKC is toast at this point. They have really surprised people in the post season because they weren't supposed to come this far. GS just has more "weapons". OKC is not getting blown out either. Its all very hard fought, surprisingly tough for GS. I also do not consider them choking. Durant and Westbrook are risk takers, like Kobe was. Sometimes you look amazing, sometimes to suck balls.
Iso ball while the 4 others players don't move nor touch the ball can't work for a full quarter . If both stars are going to dominate the rock , at least have one of them screen for the other ...
I like both Durant and Westbrook, but how is this not choking? They had the most fourth quarter losses last season. They were leading the game almost the entire way in Game 6 and then lost it by not passing the ball at all, turning the ball over a lot, and missing a bunch of shots. I mean despite the immense talent of both guys, isn't it strange they've only been to the Finals once? I thought they'd turned the corner and found the hunger and strength to make it happen but they don't have it yet.
i think i'm on this team. gs was the better team all year long, and didn't look mortal until curry got injured twice. imo, that injury is the primary reason the series even went this long. it has changed how gs plays on offense, and they're still adjusting to his diminished capacity. okc capitalized, but as gs starts to figure out how to tweak around the injury, they're looking more like themselves. which is a better basketball team than okc. okc didn't look nervous or rattled to me. they just looked like they were the second-best team. curious to see how the last one goes down, though. they win that, and there will be no debate about the narrative. if they lose, how they lose will be informative.
Sorry, but if the Thunder lose the series after being up 3-1, it's a massive choke. Those Kobe Lakers choked too, but to a much lesser degree, they had no business ever being up 3-1, Kobe was just that amazing. If you have 2 of the best 5 players in the NBA on your team, and you get up 3-1 in a series, and then you stop trusting your teammates that have gotten you this far, you revert back to hero ball, you come up small in the 4th quarter of a huge game 6, have tons of turnovers, that's a choke. If OKC loses this series it's a massive choke, epic choke. If you're good enough to do what you did in games 3 and 4 as a team, then you go away from that, your stars shrink in fear, there's no excuse, Westbrook and Durant should get all the crap that for example LeBron would for the same scenario. This isn't some 2 seed-7 seed matchup, it's the 1 and 3 teams, both are great, even if GS is historically so record-wise. Either huge boosts or serious stains on Westbrook and Durant's careers are on the line tonight. To a lesser degree there are things like that on the line for GS too, not finishing off with winning after a 73 win season won't make it as memorable. And sure Curry is hurt and not fully himself, but history rarely remembers these things outside of the fans of the team it happened to.
I thought it was kinda choky. OKC had the lead most of the game and it was double digits there for a bit. This one was in their own house in a close out game and they did not get the job done, bottom line. That's on them. That said, there were a lot of factors to the GS win. Klay was on fire and was just determined to win this one. A lot of shots he made with guys draped on him - it just went down for him. The other half of the backcourt got it going when they needed it most in the fourth quarter. Curry had been struggling again early, but came through. OKC did a bad job down the stretch. They went away from what worked in their big wins (games 3 and 4). Zero assists in the fourth quarter won't win a whole lot of games, especially against a great opponent. Durant took and missed way too many shots, particularly. GS played smarter, harder and better down the stretch and got the come from behind victory. But as I said before, all bets are off for me now. It's down to a one game series and it's anybody's. OKC would do well to just forget the last two games and focus on what is in front of them. GS needs to continue to dig deep and remember what OKC is capable of if they get nonchalant out there. I'm expecting a battle royale. So stoked that the West has given us such a great Finals. I expected nothing less even though I was surprised it was OKC and not the Spurs. Man I wish the East had some competition like we do. Sick of Lebronze cake walk every single year.
Thing is far from over, but Curry and Thompson have to get started. Golden State offense has been a little too much watching so far.
A double foul? Wow refs have no guts to call that nonsense, that's a "we don't want to be held accountable" call.
Warriors will score 40 or less by halftime... And Draymond is dirty as hell. Imagine if Adams broke his arm or tore his shoulder
