I don't know what the takeaway from this game really is. Seems partially a product of the Cavs not playing a single quality opponent this entire playoffs until tonight, and Durant being great, Curry catching fire. Same as last year though if Curry/Durant have an off night the Cavs will take advantage. At the same time, if KD, Curry, Klay, and Green all shoot well on the same night they are likely unbeatable. We know the Cavs main 3 can play better than this though.
Watching the highlights back, Durant made LeBron look a little old on defense, blew by him a couple times for dunks, flew in couple other times so fast and so high LeBron didn't even bother to get in the way. I imagine 7 finals in a row takes its toll in that sort of way, and this also is clearly not 2011 Durant, it's prime Durant. Really hope that's enough for the Cavs to be taken out.
Cavs will make adjustments, no doubt about it. Two biggest things that decided Game 1: Turnover margin and Warriors had 106 shot attempts to Cavs 86, meaning off. rebounds for GSW was critical. I said it earlier Game 2 will be closer but I still have GSW in 5. I just wish tomorrow and right now the media wouldn't over-react like many are doing.
It confirms Cavs can't defend at a very high level this season , its transition defense was laughable Cleveland will shoot better and Warriors will turn the ball over more but as long as the Dubs defend with the same type of intensity , they have NOTHING to fear
