He had one good playoff where he got out of the 1st round be fore he got the Spurs. Isn't worth 20 million.
aldridge definitely hasn't looked great since signing in SA. leonard's never-ending ascendance is hiding a lot of issues there. it wasn't enough in game 1, but as tony parker said, if a team hits 22 threes, you probably aren't going to win anyway. if houston has three more shooting games like that, they'll win no matter what SA does. that would be a first, though. might as well get your offensive stinker out of the way when the other team's on fire.
but he'd at least been a force in the regular season. there were a couple years when i would have ranked him at the league's best pf (maybe 2012-14ish?). he doesn't look like that guy anymore.
Some guys just shrink under the bright lights no matter how great they're in the regular season. Just like that point guard in Toronto.
NBA players never know when it's time to retire... read Parker , Ginobili and Gasol in this case and the Spurs made the mistake to keep them or even worst to add them in Gasol and Lee ( who was never good impact wise to begin with)
John Wall is terrific. Might be the fastest player in the league. Excellent defender. Much improved shooter. Making plays. Just a great all around player.
Wizards collapsing again. C Bags are good. How good remains to be seen, but they're a terrific team on both ends. I hate admitting that, but that's the truth.
