http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...tweets shot at carmelo-anthony-escalates-feud Phil still being Phil, now trying to push Anthony out.
Phil's really going out ugly. The fan displeasure with him and Rambis and Hornacek in the Doom posts was pretty bad.
He is absolutely right though... Melo is too stupid (as I said back in 2004) to actually change so his career is what it is.
Talk is cheap.... Easy to s*** on Melo right now but the reality is he gave him a new contract with a no trade clause and this was a huge mistake
We all knew Phil would be absolutely terrible in a front office capacity. It is the way it is, he sucks at GM duties and has outdated ideas. He has also proven to be a basketball dinasour, who isn't able to evolve with the new era. Its safe to say he has been pure garbage in NY. Its the truth sadly. But he was greedy and wanted the cash, as I don't understand why a 70 year old on pastic hips doesn't sit his *** in his home and enjoys the sunset of his life. Instead he breaks up with Jeanie and ruins one if not the biggest basketball market in the US and smudges his legacy for cash, that he will/can not spend in this life time anymore.
It took 10 people to get him away and he's in his 50's. As far as NY, I'm sure they are wonder what Isiah is up to these day.
Spike Lee weighing in ..... He'll pack Phil's bags. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...-lee-phil-jackson-pack-bags-article-1.2968036
yup. phil overplayed his hand immediately upon taking office there. he tried to play hardball with melo, which made sense, actually...until he folded like a lawn chair, essentially giving up all power in the process. complaining about the bed he made is poor form. he's made melo a sympathetic figure, imo. neat trick, d******.
