Splash Bros absolutely wrecked Portland. And Rubio somehow magically made a game winning 3 against OKC. Lance Stephenson had a big game.
yeah, I don't understand this maneuver. I never did this nor had anyone do this to me in all the years I played basketball. you'd almost certainly get your a** kicked in my little basketball world. yet paul is apparently pretty popular among his peers for whatever reason. I would think by the third nutpunch, you'd sort of be blackballed. *raises eyebrow*
Dirk Nowitzki Comfortable With Full Time Move To Center MAR 16, 2016 12:36 PM Dirk Nowitzki has thrived since his move to the center position. Nowitzki was asked about whether he would be comfortable playing the majority of his minutes at center for the rest of his career. "I'm ready for everything, whatever it may be," said Nowitzki. "I think there's a few dominant forces at center that I'd rather not see, but other than that, we all know that it's not a post-up league anymore. It's a pick-and-roll league, it's a movement league, it's a transition, line-your-guy-up, drive-it league. The league has gone smaller and smaller and smaller, so if that's an option for us, great." According to data from nbawowy.com, Nowitzki has averaged 24.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per 36 minutes as a center. The Mavs have outscored their opponents by 69 points in 215 minutes with Nowitzki as the big man.
at his age, he'll get eaten alive on the boards by guys like Drummond and Jordan, but against 80% of teams, you can get away with dirk at center on d. and on offense, it could really open things up for them.
The East is going to be very interesting down the stretch as it seems to be a 4-team race for the 3 seed between Miami, Atlanta, Boston and Charlotte. There's also Indiana and what I assume will be the Chicago Bulls taking the last 2 spots....I projected the following standings: 1. Cleveland (didn't project record) 2. Toronto (didn't project record) 3. Miami - 50-32 4. Atlanta - 48-34 5. Boston - 47-35 6. Charlotte - 46-36 7. Indiana 45-37 8. Chicago 45-37 I would LOVE for Cleveland to get a healthy Chicago Bulls squad in the first round. Then Cleveland's road could end up being Chicago, Atlanta and Toronto. The West has been very weird this year. I think for the most part, the standings 1-4 will stay the same with GS, San Antonio, OKC and Clippers taking those spots.....but 5-8 is where it gets interesting. Memphis does have a sizable lead right now for the 5 seed.....but they are so beaten and battered right now, I could see them slipping potentially. Portland, Dallas and Houston I expect will switch off...I don't see the Jazz making it over those 3 teams. And maybe the Jazz don't really care if they miss the playoffs because it's not like they'll beat GS anyways. I think seeds 5-8 just don't have a prayer of beating any of the top 4 West squads....so
Countdown to 73-9. @ Dallas Mavericks @ San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves Los Angeles Clippers Dallas Mavericks Philadelphia 76ers Washington Wizards @ Utah Jazz Boston C Bags Portland Trail Blazers Minnesota Timberwolves San Antonio Spurs @ Memphis Grizzlies @ San Antonio Spurs Memphis Grizzlies Can they do it? They need to go 12-3 to beat the record. They have 3 games against the Spurs. Two of them are away / Spurs are undefeated at home. Not only that, the Warriors are playing both of those away games on the second night of a back-to-back. Side note: Kobe's last game can potentially fall on the same day as when the Warriors break the record. Both the Lakers and Warriors last game are on April 13th at 7:30.
Yeah they can definitely do it. They'll cut through the riff raff like Dallas, Minny, LAC, and Boston easily. They could lose to the Spurs twice and Portland once more and still win it. I don't know if they will or not, but they absolutely can.
Am I the only one losing interest in the NBA this season? With how bad the Lakers are I just don't really care and I probably won't even watch the playoffs. Three straight seasons without the Lakers in it. I just don't think I can watch it anymore. Too depressing.
I'm still way into it. I'd like to see the Warriors defend their title. They are just so much fun to watch. Should be a battle royale between them and the Spurs on the way, assuming there are no upsets before that.
3 games against the Spurs Who are only 4 games back Could have an interesting finish but our team is whack With bYRON in charge Watching is depressing I end up throwing food And even salad dressing F U bYRON
Thing is Spurs have a tendency to rest their players down the stretch so who knows. But will Warriors go all out for the record or opt to keep their players fresh for the playoff run. The West top 4 seems more clear cut and much better than the bottom 4. I hope your projections for the East plays out, would love to see Cleveland have a challenge to the Finals but the Bulls are injured as well.
Anyone know what frye is shooting from 3 since joining Cleveland? My rough guess from random box scores would be like 80%
You guys think Toronto can: 1. Do well in the playoffs? (Which for them would be making the ECF) 2. Give Cleveland a run for their money if they meet in the ECF? I'm from Toronto but only watch laker games, so have no idea how good they actually are besides their decent record
Depends if Kyle Lowry shows up. Right now he's playing like a top five point guard, but he really struggled in last year's playoffs. Him and DeRozan are both playing at a very high level. Their bench is better this season with Corey Joseph. Their biggest question mark I think is the power forward spot.
Kyrie and Derozan will be need to carry them, the Raptors will go as far as those two can take them. I don't really like their big man rotation or their bench.
I want Cleveland to face Chicago, Heat (hopefully with healthy Bosh), Raptors. I think Atlanta would swept again.
No Iggy, no Ezili, no Bogut, Spurs unbeaten at home. This game means something for the 72-10 record, but I don't put a lot of stock in it for what it means for the playoffs.
