Nice finish by the Warriors. Great to see Lebronze lose on Xmas. The Warriors are just unbelievably good. Best team in the NBA and probably will be for the next couple/few years if they can stay healthy and keep surrounding their core with excellent role players like Livingstone and Iggy. Harrison Barnes isn't even playing and they keep winning. Barnes does look like the expendable guy right now and he will cost a small fortune to keep around. I hope we go after him HARD! I don't see how they can afford to keep him.
Yes I think there's a good chance we can nab him. Barnes is very good, but with Curry, Klay, and Draymond all making max money there's no way they can afford to do the same with Barnes. Not unless they wanna be capped out. Lakers make a lot of sense for Harrison. Goes to a young team and fills a huge need. More of an offensive role. Also despite still being very young can provide championship experience. With the way Russel pushes the ball, you have Clarkson on the wing and Barnes will get a lot of trail three opportunities.
Bosh tells Anthony Davis to stop leaving him open. "I ain't gonna miss too many, dog." http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2015/12...s-anthony-davis-to-stop-leaving-him-open-with
I think he'd be the perfect fit here Lakers2015 and agree with you about him having open looks with Russell (and Randle) pushing the break and Clarkson on the wing. Of course Barnes could fill the other wing, too! Durant most likely isn't coming, but Barnes in a way is just a better fit because of his young age and desire for an expanded role from what he has now. Yes, we'll have to max him out but I think he's worth it. Barnes is a rock solid two way SF and that's what we need. Sure it would be great to get a superstar like Durant but it's looking like pipe.
But TERRIBLE when it comes to the level of play . I wonder where this Christmas day ranks historically FG% wise ... Had to be one of the worst
Random thought. I would love to punch Dellavedova in the face (or nuts). I hate that douche as much as i hate b0ron.
^^^^ Iggy got him good when they were both on the floor in the 1st half ... I wish Iggy or Draymond would have elbowed him when Dellavedova climbed over their backs on the FTs ...
Why do people think Cleveland is a legit title contender? I really don't get it. The East is still mediocre and they're only 10 games over .500 and only three games ahead of the current eight seed in the C Bags. Kyrie is a ball dominant point guard and we know LeBron needs the ball in his hands. Kevin Love was an overrated stat padder in Minnesota and it shows. He's a horrible defender and is only a 35 percent three point shooter for a supposed knock down shooter. Mozgov has given them nothing this year. He's an even slower version of Hibbert. At least Roy protects the basket somewhat something Mozgov hasn't done. Shumbert is decent defensively, but can't hit any open shots. Teams will be able to sag off LeBron and Kyrie big time when he's in the game. They're still far too reliant on LeBron. Warriors will win in five or six max.
Why do people think they're a legit contender? Maybe because they cakewalk to the Finals, while the West beats on eachother. They gave a fully healthy Warriors team a legit Finals series without Love and Irving. The game Irving played in he was great, he plays the whole series the Cavs might be champs right now. Let's not underestimate this team, they are a contender, they are THE team to beat in the East. Regular season struggles are one thing, fitting Irving back in and cementing roles is one thing, but come playoff time no one in the East will beat them, and the Warriors better hope they're healthy if they get back and want to repeat.
Cavs are a contender because they will get to the Finals barring a Lebron injury . The Lebron isos give them a slight chance to beat GS because it slows the tempo of the game down and limit the number of possessions . They will have NO chance against SAS though
Also, Blatt is a much better coach then either Kerr or Luke (at this point). Much more versatile and known (at least in Europe) as one that is capable to adjust his style, to opponent, personnel, refs...
I'd honestly rather not have the stress of rooting against Lebron this year. For once I want a stress free final where I don't hate one of the teams, that hasn't happened since I've been a laker fan.
So what? LeBron had a cake walk in 2013 and 2014 and still lost to a much better team. What a lot of people don't realize or fail to recognize is that was Golden State's first deep playoff run. Yet they still won. The Cavs had a healthy team early on in the season and then in the second half of the season and they never looked anywhere near like Golden State or even the Spurs do. I've seen nothing from them to think they can beat either team in a series. They've got size, but are still too slow. Love is a defensive liability who will definitely have to sit in crunch time which will take away space for James and Irving. They have nobody to guard Curry. Hell the Warriors didn't even have Barnes and still beat the Cavs.
Regular season man, regular season. Playoffs are a different animal, you can't put too much stock in what you see right now. Yes, LeBron lost to Dallas his first year in miami, yes he lost to the Spurs 3 years ago and the Watriors last year. But, his team was THERE, in the Finals all those years. That is why they are a legit title contender, they will be there at the end and anything can happen. Doesn't matter how teams look at certain points, as long as they're there at the end. 2009 Lakers were taken to 7 games by a decimated Rockets team and after that I believed we didn't have what it took to win that year, but they did, you just don't know until it's over.
