so we just gone have revisionist history lol, yes they won us a few play off games against a bad team, once they got gameplanned for all that changed smart started being not so smart Marcus smart and luke went from averaging 27 to 3. yall need to quit over hyping these players
I wonder if this played a role in LeBron leaving. He probably saw that all these pieces were going to be let go and didn't like the plan. Luka is being consulted on these moves so we also have to keep that in mind. It would be difficult to believe that the front office isn't consulting Luka on all these moves. If Luka wanted Smart/Kennard, they would be on the team - especially at these prices. While I want to blame Rob here, if this is also Luka's idea, then we gotta wait and see how it unfolds.
Yeah like Bron's track record as a GM is good... Bron left because he didn't like being 3rd fiddle and not having control over the franchise. It has nothing to do with basketball, much less when he is supposed to be joining the Warriors.
Do you think Houston is offering him starting position and we could not with need to set the roster for next several years?
Do you think Boston actually planted a bomb with Philadelphia and low-key ruined their chances next year by trading them a malcontent? Or were they handed a trip to the finals?
i think we honestly just wanted grimes more. or just wanted to get younger at all costs. maybe they want luka and austin to assume locker room leadership roles, and that wasn't going to happen with smart here?
First part more so I would think. And maybe the similar thinking to DFS last year. And my guess is he didn't want a total bench role. Can't imagine any problem with the latter part and more leaders and leaders by example the better.
in fairness, if we don't sign grimes, smart's the starter. i think we could have offered him the job and didn't. again, i'm kind of sad about it, but i also understand it. we might regret it, but we may also be glad our gm isn't as sentimental as we are.
