Memphis is a case study. They created another Tyus Jones as soon as the main version left. Crazy. He's playing really well, didn't see it in him

 

They replaced old Aquaman with young Huff now shooting 3s and freaking Zach Edey who has the touch to shoot them too based on his combine form. If he ever even needs to. Uggggh!!!

 

not sure if it's rhetorical or sarcastic, but...lots of folks? i just didn't want to trade dlo for him. and neither did the warriors. i knew he wasn't washed. hell, gs would have kept him had that relationship not been broken.

yeah, color me stupid. i watched plenty of pippen and just thought he'd never get over the hump. his three ball was just really bad (and i didn't like how it looked). he's making them now, and that's been a huge difference, imo.

he's two years older than jhs, btw, and looked equally bad two years ago.

 

I've been noticing too that his +/- have not been great. Small sample size and I'm not an expert in their rotation but still something to monitor

 

btw, right after i said gs can't win without curry, they kill the pels. now the pels were without mccollum (who's pretty important for them), but still...kerr is kicking a** in the early going over there. has them playing way above their talent level, imo.

 

Bucks came into MEM tonight and got steamrolled. MEM up 30 at one point. 122-99 game and it wasn't that close. I watched it: garbage time midway through the 3rd.
Bucks 9 for 42 from downtown; MEM let Giannis get his; everyone else sucked. Good MEM D combined with bad MIL O. Ja: 26/10/14 and looks as good as ever. I think he's kind of a punk, but man...he can play. Some ridiculous dimes from him.

Wemby goes into Utah and has 25/9/7 with 5 steals, 5 blocks, and Spurs win by 18. Jazz are the only team in the Assn still winless.

Klay jacks up 9 3s vs. Rockets, hits 2: back down to Earth. HOU beats DAL by leading 88-72 going into the 4th; felt like a garbage 4th.

Suns erased a 21 point deficit between 10:51 and 3:16 mark of the 3rd Q: around 7 1/2 mins. 3:16 mark: Once it was tied at 89, Clips panicked. It was frenzied with both teams:

Jamaal ran into Julius: concussion protocol. Braun dunked over Gobert during a frenzied 4th Q, then got right in Rudy's grill, screaming: both guys T'd up.

With 10:51 left in the game, Conley hit a 3 to put MIN up 12.
3 mins and 25 secs later Joker hit a 3 to tie it. We Laker fans know the feeling.
A little over 2 minutes after that, DEN was up 8 with 5:14 left: that's when Braun put Rudy on a poster and they both got T'd up. Rudy kinda gets even in the end, as you'll see if you watch the game or read the rest of this tired rundown from me. Just relating it to y'all cuz, like I say, it was LIT.
Joker makes 2 FTs with 2:30 left: DEN up 7. Looks like a big game for them, one they desperately needed: Gordon/the Serb/MP Jr were at their best. (Well, Porter Jr was 3 for 7 from deep; against us he'd be 6 for 7.Still: Jr. was 11 for 18 overall.)

Gordon misses a 3 (or a long 2) but Brick gets the offensive rebound, then loses the ball out of bounds with 1:30 left. DEN by 1 still. You gotta wonder how long DEN will put up with this jit.
Ant misses a 23 footer. DEN still up 1 with 72 secs left.
Joker misses a 10 footer. They really needed that one, but he's done everything for them: 26/9/13 with 3 steals, bangin' down low with Rudy and at times, Naz.
Gordon gets Joker's miss; Braun drives to the rack and misses. 42 secs left, DEN still up 1. Ant gets the board on Braun's miss. They're still down 1. Ant has body language in this situation like Kobe, like MJ. With 25 secs left in the game he hits a 7-foot floater to put MIN up 1. Crowd ballistic.
After a DEN timeout, Braun misses but Gordon gets the board, misses a shot, Rudy gets the board and Braun fouls him with 10 secs left. Where's your scream now, Braun?
Rudy hits both FTs and MIN wins by 3.

I don't know what to make of the NBA opening up an investigation on Jaxson from a 2021 incident. It seems like they - the NBA - wants to look cool. But I don't know. It was already litigated? In June 2022 Hayes was sentenced to 3 years probation, 450 hrs of community service, and 1 year of weekly domestic violence classes. But now a TMZ video shows up. I do hope Jaxson learned something. But the NBA has decided to get involved after TMZ? Smells. Maybe I'm wrong and don't know enough about the case. But it kinda stinks from here.
