i get why players say these things. i do, too. daryl morey isn't a basketball revolutionary. he's basically done violence to the game, imo. only someone who never really played could espouse his philosophy. i think that's what hart (and david west and whoever else) is trying to say. lebron was a little more diplomatic in his delivery, i thought, essentially pointing out that taking open threes and dunks and free throws is great...until you run into a defense that doesn't allow them--in which case you better have something else in your bag. and if you haven't taken a long 2 in months, it will be hard to win a playoff game on one.
Yeah, I didn’t have any issue with what Hart said, I just thought it was really funny that he accidentally described his new head coach. But as Arash points out here, this was not a shot at Vogel, it was just some ball players speaking their minds freely
