I agree with the FGA, I mean really..... why is that even a category, lets make people try and draft guys that just chuck shots. I too try to stay as far away from FGA and FTA as possible.

either 5:30pm or 6:30pm pst would work much better for me than 7:30...and it looks like 6:30 is the most popular vote so far. i just hope everyone else notices the changed time.

Well, that is indeed common wisdome, isn't it. One that I always felt was a bit too simplistic for my liking,

It doesn't matter if it's for a PG or C. The only thing, IMO, that is important in context of FT% is the amount of times one gets to the line.

70% on 2 FTA won't make any difference. MCW had 5.2 FTA last season, to 367 total FTs. He made 258 FTs. Had he shot a much more respectable (by
general consideration) 80%, he'd make 293 FTs, or 34 points more over the course of the season, or 0.5 more points (he played 70 games) per game.

Now, you can argue, that due to him being a mere average FT shooter one or more of the following:
    • his defenders could be more physical with him, without too much of a harsh punishment, resulting in easier time for the opposing defense
    • he shied away from contact, thus being less aggressive, resulting in easier time for the opposing defense
    • he cost his team some amount of close games
Any of those would need context and observation, as all stats. In and by itself, 70% is irrelevant.
