Couple things of interest from Buha's pod:

    - the medicals were cleared by our medical staff and independently UCLA's doc (don't recall the name)

    - apparently Rambis was a big proponent of getting Williams and there's a lot of untapped potential there. McMenamin had a sourced comment while on ESPN about the same. Now we know McMenamin's source on that one. I'm glad Rambis thinks this but also I hate him.

I will always love Rambis the player.

I will always like Rambis the assistant coach under Phil Jackson.

I will always dislike with significant intensity Rambis the FO influence. (But in this case I'm glad he pushed for getting Mark Williams)

Practical question at this point, when is Williams going to play his first game with us? Will it be Saturday? Or Monday with Luka?

This is gospel here but exactly what evidence do we have that in the strategy meetings Kurt and Linda aren’t actually smart with their input and good at what their jobs are? With all the positive you said above about Kurt being true …. and most certainly Phil, like Kobe not being one to suffer fools having had a long relationship with Kurt back in those coaching days. And the great Jerry Buss in one of his first moves to make money following buying the Lakers put Linda and Jeanie to work at it in charge of his World Team Tennis(?) involvement. These two smart women have been in business together for 45 years. The only thing we “know” Kurt was unsuccessful at was coaching at the NBA level. Did he even have rosters good enough I have no idea but it has absolutely nothing to do with what the organization is paying him to do now. Again the mind reading around here is institutionalized seems to me to hate on and mock Kurt and Linda when we don’t know how they are tasked to contribute. Scoreboard Luka Doncic era and what ever the Rambii have contributed toward it up to this point in Lakers history, and I guess scoreboard Robert Williams too maybe …. thanks Kurt.

Rambis reading these positive comments in a dark room twiddling his fingers saying “excellent” Mr Burns style

Same. We got our guys and to their credit some how this franchise continues to make this “system” work. But I don’t like it at all and my criticism of it stand.

Pretty much why I’m not too concerned with some of the talk of his defense and effort. I expect the leaders of this team to get more out of him.
