He was just starting to come into his own and now this happens...

all of a sudden I'm thinking we probably need to go and get Kessler and Sexton and trade Gabe, JHS, Wood and Milton + two 1sts?

 

A knee to knee is painful but shouldn't result in a multi game absence. I expect him back after this b2b

Nice to see Gabe step up his game when we really need him

It's crazy that not long ago we were all talking about ways to get rid of him

And now he's a key part of the roster

 

Losing Max hurt but Gabe being alive and kicking is like a salve for an open wound

 

that three just looks so much better now than it did early in the season (and really even last preseason before he got hurt).

if he can be a 40% three point shooter on top of just being a reliable ballhandler and very good team player on both ends, he's a huge bargain instead of the huge drain he was last year. and at 40%, he's much better than miami gabe, tbh. we paid for miami gabe. 40% three is a full level up from miami gabe.

 

Got to give props to Gabe. At one point the fan base turned on him and he has managed to stay even keeled and play himself into form. If we’re getting this kind of 3&D production from him for the rest of the season and playoffs our rotation is complete.

That’s a good proposed rotation except against the Nuggets

 

Over the last few seasons, it hasn’t been that Jokic beat us alone, it’s been that Murray looks like an All NBA and MPJ turns into prime MJ in offence.

I’m happy if we let Jokic go off but stop the other guys. I think that’s the recipe for us. Vando and DFS are going to slow down Murray and MPJ this year around. Williams will play 30-36 mins against Jokic and just put Lebron, Rui or Hayes for the other 12-18.

My question is how do the nuggets guard us? Let’s say they put Gordon on Lebron… who’s guarding Luka? Braun? Westbrook? MPJ or Murray? I mean good luck.

And what’s Jokic going to do when we play 5 out with Luka - AR - DFS - LeBron - Rui. He’s gotta cover for Rui shooting 43% from the perimeter.
