    well, we need to feel like this is a good-but-not-excellent game from him, right? like "gabe WENT OFF!...for 14 points"

    and tbh, when i looked at the box score and saw double digits next to gabe, i was like...wow! big game for gabe. and that's sad.

    Obviously, he's capable of playing like this. We just need him to do it more often. We don't even need this necessarily -- how about 9 pts, going 2-5 on threes and playing solid D? That would be incredibly useful.

    yeah, this is really what i meant in my response to elgin. he implied that we need this consistently, and imo, this might have been at the upper reaches of the expectations when we signed him (10+ppg, 4+apg, solid shooting percentages, solid defense). he was only a 9/3 guy in miami in a few more mpg.

    his december was actually pretty solid. we signed him to be a solid backup pg, and he's finally approaching it.

    This was the guy I thought we were getting way back when we traded for him.
    I’m glad he’s getting more comfortable. I would love it if moving forward, he can average that nine PPG he did with Miami because we really need his defensive ability out there.

    He's been playing better lately. Honestly I'm more into keeping him now with the departure of Dlo. I would no longer trade him for Valanciunas. Fill in that Center spot another way.

    i don't think we can afford to move him without an equal or better guard coming back in the package. we already did it with dlo and depleted the roster that way.
