Yes Houston likes playing at a very fast pace ... and can't take care of the ball ... recipe for disaster against the Warriors who are very quick at going from defense to offense
Warriors won 4-0 against the Rockets in the regular season, but Dwight only played in one of those games. That has to matter, but the Warriors are rolling, I think they win, however many games it takes. I'm rooting for them anyway, I hate the Rockets again, and I'd love to see Curry win a title and the Warriors tear the Cavs apart in the Finals.
I don't think Dwight matters that much in this case. The Warriors are an outside shooting team, so his D is negated for the most part. On the offensive end, he's not that great, but will be defended by one of the top defensive bigs in the game anyway.
Bogut just needs to make it difficult for Dwight. He's taller and equally strong. Body him up, get your hands up and force him to throw awkward hooks at the basket. If he ends up scoring 30, good for him. But I don't see how GSW can lose this.
Crazy how the Warriors being notable for their high octane offense is actually a great defensive team. Bogut should be able to slow Howard.
Just the thought of Dwight Howard's smug face in the NBA Finals is enough to make me puke a thousand lunches.
If Howard makes the finals I'm done with NBA until preseason. There's only 1 worse case scenario worse than that and I'm not even gonna go there.
^the above posts are why I think the clips' game 6 loss was almost as painful for me as it probably was for clips fans. seriously: howard and harden and morey in the finals? YOU WANT THIS? take care of business, warriors.
I just checked that game when Dwight played. He had a nice game: 23/10 (only one offensive rebound though) and hit most of his free throws. Rockets lost by 25. Ouch.
True, didn't mind him then. Actually kinda liked him, but after the whole fiasco with the Lakers, wow was I wrong.
D12 isn't much of a factor when it comes to PNR D ... if he drops too low , Curry will hit open shots ... if he totally commits to Curry , Dray Green will make plays 4 against 3 ... something he's very good at
I'm not so sure that this series is going to be "easy" for the Warriors. TBH, i thought the Clippers would handle the Rockets pretty easily...but the Rockets showed me something I didn't think they had: mental toughness. They have guys who have been there, done that. As much as we bag on Dwight, he's been to the finals before, and had he not run into the best player in the game at the time in Kobe Bryant, he would have had a ring by now. Ariza was on that same Lakers squad, and he's a starter for Houston and absolutely critical for them. Josh Smith had multiple years in ATL, and he really stepped it up in this last series. Corey Brewer has been a solid role player for a few years now, and he's relentless on the court. Jason Terry is only a few years removed from dominating LEBRON in the NBA finals, so you know he has that championship mettle. James Harden has really disappointed me in these playoffs, but he did step up in the biggest game of his career in game 7, so props to him for finally putting together a complete game despite having JJ frikin redick guarding him the whole series. I just think right now, the Rockets are going to ride the confidence wave after coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series...I say this series goes the full 7. Battle of the top 2 MVP candidates. I think Dubs pull it out though....but it's not going to be easy like everyone thinks. I hope it's quick though so the Warriors can get some rest before the NBA finals...of course if they face the Hawks, then that's just a win win situation for every Laker fan out there..no lebron, no dwight and no harden in the nba finals. Sweet.
