Cannot stay healthy. The Clippers honestly probably dodged a bullet by not having to pay him 200 million, they weren’t winning the title with him anyway.
That's a tough break. There are several stars that when healthy are amazing to watch. But their teams rely on them sooo much, that when they go down at the wrong time, the team crumbles. We were indeed lucky to have as much health as we did have. We had issues, but it could have been far worse.
Unfortunate injury. A bruise takes that long? Paul hustled like hell against the Dubs even though he mostly had to watch Harden initiate the offense by himself... I don't think he fits in D'Antoni's schemes. Talk of how he would adjust? Hard to gauge when he's commanded the ball most of his career.
i still can't believe he gave up his option to play in houston. stinks to high heaven, imo (as in: they cheated the cba in some form or fashion). his knees have been in bad shape for years, and just when he can get a 200 million dollar deal, he forgoes FA. promptly injures knee in the shocker of the century. if this problem persists, will morey screw him like he does all players whose names don't rhyme with names blarden?
and again i ask: why didn't he cash in last summer? i think houston (illegally) guaranteed him his max deal this summer. and yes, it could come back to bite them long-term, but i think that's what morey was alluding to when he said he'd take big risks to try to unseat the warriors. he knows with harden's conditioning, it's only a matter of time before his knees start faltering.
CP3 might have made an epic contract mistake. He’s an FA this summer and wants max ... good luck with that after missing a month with a “bone bruise”. Hmmm he’s had a history with MCL issues ...is it finally catching up?
