He has changed his preferred destination to Miami. I'd love for that to happen. By the way, I'm off the Butler life. This guy wants a big market, he doesn't want to be competitive. I mean sure he'd like to win, but he cares more about being in a big/ warm city where he can be the man.
Agreed. Windhorst said on The Jump yesterday that what made this rift bigger and led to the trade request was he heard Butler wanted the Wolves to make cap space clearing moves in order to be able to give him his huge money payday now. Not to add players to get better, but to pay him.. You can’t believe everything you hear, but I buy Windhorst on this, add together his preferred trade destinations and from what I can see in Minny as a team that simply got beat by a better team in the playoffs last season, I don’t see a great reason for him to want out. He wants money, and he wants his own franchise, that to me seems evident.
Agreed. I also think the kids are getting a bad rep in this. While Towns and Wiggins may be young and immature, they've got room to grow. It seems to me Butler just wants a big paycheck and a city where he can be the boss. I'm not worried about him anymore. Give me Durant or Kawhi or trade for Davis.
Plus he might be a rental. I wouldn't trust Butler's word that he would resign. Dude want's money and sunshine, not trophies (shame because he used to be a pitbull on the court).
The Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly sought Ben Simmons in a potential Jimmy Butler trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. Source: https://syndication.bleacherreport....ves-asked-for-ben-simmons-from-76ers.amp.html ....
That’s not funny. We’d literally have 3 teams with 3+ all-stars on them and the parity would be destroyed even more.
@abeer3 is just getting ahead of the anti-jinx again. I remember the good ol' days when LeBron was going to Houston and the evidence was clear while the LA evidence was circumstantial.
morey gonna get him for eric gordon (whose knees will go out any day now) and some magic beans. sactown will step up and take one for the (houston) team by eating salary.
lolupdate: rockets owner comes out and states publicly that he wants jimmy butler. *waiting on maxwell silverhammer* if this was the lakers, they'd be toast.
