Kidd already "did" the Mavs this way in 12 and ended up signing with the Knicks ...

GTFOH. Weak minded DJ. This is one of the reasons I didn't want this guy.

I'd love it. I'd love every second of it. You get-

    1. Clippers still screwed
    2. Clippers burnt bridges all over NBA map including agents/GMs
    3. Mavs get a player that wanted to leave them, what a happy marriage that'll be :D

Unless Woj or Steins says that DJ is 50/50, I am not believing it.

Yeah the Clippers just reek of desperation right now. They took one look around the FA pool and got back on the phone to beg DJ to stay. By doing this, the Clippers are setting TONS of bridges on fire. It's beautiful.

This ... Clippers are very short sighted ... nobody in NBA circles will want to deal with them after this for quite some time

CP2 will show up to the meeting and the first thing he's gonna do is hi-five DeAndre...and hi-five him after each time he talks

I'm actually rooting for Cuban on this one. You can't screw a franchise like this, they could have moved on to getting other players, but they thought they had Jordan. Again, if a FA did this to the Lakers, this place would be going nuts, something like this can set a team back years.

Chris Paul: "I'm sorry for the way I treated you man. High five." *fives*
DeAndre: "You know, I appreciate that man. I just want to feel involved, you know?"
Chris Paul: "I feel you big guy. I understand. High five for expressing yourself." *fives*
DeAndre: "I feel like I can be so much more than just a rebounder and a dunker, you know?"
Chris Paul: "I do too, buddy. Really. High five." --
Mark Cuban: "STOP DJ! IT'S A TRAP! DON'T SLAP ANYMORE FIVES!"

Yup and teams wouldn't want to deal with the Clips too.

They're bypassing the wrong reps. They also have Jimmy Butler, Bogut, Davis, Ellis, etc etc I can go on and on. Clips are royally screwed either way. Getting back DJ isn't going to make them a title contender and they won't be able to make moves to improve if DJ leaves either. This is what desperation does to you, you lose your damn mind.

Oh totally. Cuban is the one getting wronged here... But I still remember him saying "I hope they suck forever" about us so... :D :D :D

Plus I find it doubtful Jordan reneges and everything works out for the Clippers.

Per Shelbourne...Jordan called Rivers expressing doubts. Maybe he's trolling them. They all show up and he says "Nah...I'm outta there!" I can't say I'm not enjoying every damn second of this...

I don't like Cuban, he whines and complains constantly, he sends tape to the NBA to complain, and he was one of the owners against us getting Chris Paul (although I do kinda enjoy Shark Tank). Still, I consider what the Clippers are doing to be wrong. I can't remember Cuban doing something this shady before, though I could be wrong. And I can't really blame him for wanting us to suck forever, we absolutely owned the Mavs for years before they finally beat us in the playoffs.
