As long as Luke assigns play time according to merit, we should only have him on the court if he's proven to be our best option for those minutes, whether he's a 3rd option or 2nd.
Every time I start to think negative on this signing I have to stop myself and say hey, he's taking Ryan Kelly's spot, he cannot be worse than that.
I still think Ryan Kelly will end up being a rich man's Ryan Anderson. OK. In no world or universe in an infinite multitude of multiverses do I or any one of my clones think that.
Its good i guess that Yi has earned his place already but now what to do with Black, baring injury to Yi? Black certainly can't hang as a pf on either end of the floor
But you just proclaimed that we'll have the best if not one of the best big man rotations based on the same 3days
Quit twisting and acting like you have bad reading comprehension. I'm talking about Bresnahan "calling it" for back up center after 3 days of practice. Maybe he's right, but Metta said the other day and his eyes lit up when asked about who was impressing him of the Bigs. He said Zubac and that he was the most skilled of all of them so far. So I am questioning Bresnahan running his mouth after 3 days calling Huertas already the back up point guard over Calderon and now Yi, when it is entirely possible Zu outplays him in practice and the actual practice games! Doesn't mean that if he truly is stronger now, improved with his skills and hungry to be in the league to agree to an incentive laden contract over guaranteed money in China, that I don't think Yi can be a good Big man on this team.
Bresnahan has been pretty clueless about our talent before, so this doesn't mean much to me either. I'll look forward to seeing everyone in action, but we freakin' have 4 centers right now. Do we really keep all 4?
Well sure. That's the position he will play but it's not even guaranteed he makes the roster yet, "allegedly". It would make a hypocrite of Luke right out of the gate with his promise of fair competition and "Nosensitol" this early to determine that Yi will be the "first" big off the bench after only 3 days practice, ragged scrimmages and no pre-season games.
I see. He has perhaps overextended himself. To be fair, he said, "It looks like..." That's consistent with its being false.
