falls down a lot too doesn't trim his eyebrows very Robinish SMH We've won 3 in a row without him. Do we really even need him?
Yeah, quite a few posters suggested this long time ago... we need to realize that young role-players like Stanley Johnson and Damian Jones can help this team win games. We don't always need a big name. We need dudes who can defend, have size and good motor.
i've been banging this drum for a while. it's particularly maddening when we've had some success finding young guys and developing them into role players. i wasn't gaga for damian jones, but i thought we could have kept him to take a look. hell, we kept sacre and ryan kelly for like 4 years each! yes, i know we were terrible then, but the pendulum has maybe swung too far in the opposite direction. i wish dj and baze's spots went to younger guys working up the g-league ranks.
Speaking of Damian Jones, he’s had a couple of nice games for the Kings in December. Wish we had kept him and maybe McKinnie. I think if the Drummond experiment didn’t happen we would have signed Damian Jones for the rest of last season.
Plus side (wrong thread, I know) the Kings have 9 centers. When they get healthy, we could pry one or one might get bought out. BUT if we let Jones walk, are we interested in bringing him back when we could've just kept him?
Nice of the Mavericks to get the worst version of Steph. I'm sure he'll go for 50 in each of our upcoming matchups
they defended him a bit like we did in the first meeting (well). the difference was they rotated better after the initial traps/blitzes. we got picked apart on those. if luka wasn't so off, the mavs would have murdered them. and that was without porzingis. wonder if the warriors were relaxing a bit in anticipation of klay's return.
No. We don't. We have been looking for the next great Laker center. He was right under our nose. Magic/Kareem, Kobe/Shaq, Monk/Lebron
Tough to watch. I thought we might lose but this team still finds ways to disappoint. We just don’t have it this season.
It’s the getting blown out by the good teams that sucks. Still a lot of improvement needed to compete with the teams above us in the standings.
The other starters were 8/38. Zero help for Bron. MEM is better than most teams right now, I'm OK with a L here. But where was the help? Only lineup that worked was our garbage crew after Memphis had the game in hand.
We suck, we never stopped sucking, we just finally won against some bad teams. We haven’t beaten anyone of quality, whenever we play a team above .500 this is the result, a beat down. I don’t count the comeback at the end of this one, it was a blowout.
That winning streak and honeymoon period was fool's gold. Lot of alarming signs were there A quick reality check at exactly the halfway point of the season...we are 21-20 and 7th in the West with the hardest schedule remaining.
