Oh I agree that there should be a stoppage. Just don’t agree with the statement that some teams are getting special treatment with postponed games
nothing bs about some teams having to play with skeleton crews and others getting to rest and reschedule?
They'll be forced to play the make-up games in uncomfortable circumstances, no more 3 days off or 2 days off.
There’s just too many inexcusable things happening. - we’re getting killed in the possession game, how can we allow teams to have 20 more possessions than us? - weird lineups, we played 4 guards with melo and got roasted inside (not Melo’s fault he was rotating well, just no help) - talking about help, we have an awful lack of fundamental effort. no second or third help, no aggressive close outs, no boxing out - poor starts and worse third quarters - lack of wing defence, just look how much Stanley Johnson helped defend Harden
Per NBA rules you need at least 8 players active to play the game. Bulls/Raptors went down to 7 players on game day so the game was postponed. If it had happened on an off day they would have signed an 8th player and been able to play the game with a skeleton crew.
I don't think they should stop anything. Life is full of b*******. How you handle that b******* teaches you or you become it's victim. I love Adam Silver. I think he is a tremendous leader and commissioner. But even he needs to see now how those scumbags in China have ruined them. Might be a good idea now to change up the relationships and make the NBA more dependant on other countries that actually take care of their citizenry.
That lineup with no center AND no Lebron was abysmal. Vogel makes things that make me sick lol What was that? They went on a run and could simply score at will. It's painful to watch the Lakers this season
What kind of a leader makes other players so dependent on him to succeed? A ball hogging one --- Kobe (RIP and Probably)
it's precisely the idea that one guy and two hours' difference on the rest result means losing versus having a much better chance on another day that is the problem. as soon as it started happening; the whole thing should have been paused and rescheduled (alternatively, they could have forced everyone to sign replacement players and had them ready to go). instead, several teams are getting killed while others get to rest. it's clearly inequitable. and ironically--considering it's largely driven by keeping fans in seats--it's terrible for fans. imagine you bought tickets to the christmas day game and you're watching darren collison one day out of three years of retirement. you could have literally seen this at the y yesterday. the nba should move to...canada?
What if they find out their testing method has been completely inaccurate and this has all been a waste. That’s be a hoot.
it sounds shocking, but i feel like you often read how little teams practice during the season. especially old teams. again, this is why the abysmal preseason worried me a bit. that was the time to start getting things together, and we basically made zero progress for that month or so. then regular season/injuries/covid hits, and it's further disarray. and you're using games to work things out. basic things like which schemes are possible and which lineups work. so you lose to okc and minny twice each.
Talking about the guy who played off ball most of the game, setting screens on every possession. Lebron didn't go 4-15 at the rim.
I dont think these Lebron at centers are going to be sustainable when he's often paired with Melo as the 4 Just a layup line to the basket for big chinks of the game. Really would prefer to get time at C even if just backup center
they have zero chance at beating good teams when you're giving up that many points to a team like the rockets
Well I can't imagine Vogel not going bonkers with the layup line tonightm. Confident that Dwight will be back in the lineup once he returns as a backup.
