it's hard to underscore how bad those losses were. feel like i'll be talking about them for years at this point.
OKC was missing SGA and Giddey in that loss last night. Basically their only two NBA-caliber players. But hell, I bet the lakers would've still lost to them even if those two hadn't played
Maybe next time let's not try fouling every trip down in the first half and then try not to leave the shooters wide open in the 4th.
thought we played a good game for our standards tonight... it's just that our standard is not very high this season. we probably would have won if they didnt hit every 3 in the last few minutes.
I kind of hate this team. Feels like 2012 all over again. Kobe isn’t here to drag us to the playoffs though.
WMC... Saw the score... We lost to the PosterClips.... UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH that is all
we'll still make the playoffs barring injuries since the other teams in the West apart from the Top 3 or 4 aren't that good either. but a first round exit seems like the most likely outcome at this point.
Once again, they seemed totally uninterested in winning the game. I stopped watching with 3:00 minutes to go in the third because I became just as bored as them.
They didn't look bad honestly: however wtf do you start THT in that starting lineup? That tactical mistake basically cost a game where every thing else was pretty equal
Yeah. That starting line up still wasn’t what we need. THT should be coming off the bench. Start Monk or Ellington.
Offensively starting THT is worse than starting Rondo. BUT everyone sold Vogel on THT being the second coming of Rodman and GP's love child. We refused to sign anyone over 6-4 because THT's go-go-gadget arms can cure polio. Rob and Bron are dead wrong. Even if THT's thumb is f***ed up, he's still getting cooked anytime he's your defensive stopper. We're 1-3 years from knowing IF he can even do that. Thinking he can bandaid everything this year just because he's overpaid based off NBA potential is such a dumb move. Not hedging your bets by adding an Ennis or bringing back a Wes just to save pennies on the dollar when they're not factoring in playoff revenue is shooting us in the foot.
The Big 3 just don't fit well together. Westbrook played 36 mins, took 8 shots, 9 assists and 2 turnovers. It's pretty obvious he and Lebron are redundant. Both are shaky outside shooters. Both do not have reliable post games to make up for lost athleticism. Their skills in the mid-range pull up department are shaky too. Both cannot defend other team's best wing scorers. They're basically doing your turn/my turn. Either 1) Trade Westbrook ala Isaiah Thomas/2018 CLE and get 2-3 lesser talented role players who fit the teams needs OR 2) Lebron relinquishes control of the ball/offense and becomes an off the ball player ala 2012-2014 Wade so that Westbrook has open forays into the lane. It's not working guys.
Nobody is intimidated by Lebron/AD. Nobody is intimidated by coming into Staples center. Yes teams circle their calendar and play their best against the best franchise in the league. But right now we look like the New York Yankees/Dallas Cowboys. We are talented but we are beatable and vulnerable Lot of comparisons to the 2012 team but we were 29-12 that year at Staples.
