Why did they not switch up the defense on that GG guy: no blitzes, doubles, just shot away against 1v1 d
Don’t worry guys, this team “can beat anyone when healthy!” Well, since our only real POA guy isn’t healthy, we barely have a chance of fighting our way into the playoffs.
not the first time this has happened this season. between giving JJJ phantom blocks and this, memphis might want to look into revamping their gameday ops crew
Here's their statement My first thought when seeing the clip: man, Ham is really desperate to get Prince extra playing time. He's reduced himself to bribing away clock operators. I think it's a fireable offense.
Is Vando scheduled to return for play-in game(s) or playoffs? I know I’m getting ahead of it, we need to handle Pels first, but… Jokic and Murray are difficult as it is… I just don’t see how we size up and have the size against AG and MPJ… this is not even factoring a solid KCP. I just think or Rui, but that’s about it… do we let Jax get some burn for the defensive assignment on AG/MPJ? Maybe Cam Reddish can take MPJ.
i may regret saying this, but if there's ever a time for prince to show his value, it's against denver. he's big enough to bother mpj, and since mpj isn't a threat to blow by on the dribble, it's not as crazy as deploying him as a waterbug stopper. our problem against denver is that murray carves us up in crunch time, and if we play AD on jokic, they just get easy buckets all day from jokic's passing/AD's having to stick to him. i just don't think we're constructed properly to beat denver. before the season, i was just hoping we could avoid them and let someone else take care of them. we have the personnel to beat anyone else, imo--save maybe the freaking sacramento kings.
we have to beat NO in NO again--after just having done it in embarrassing fashion--in order to get the privilege. it's still possible that we drop that game and then have to play sacramento (who owns us) or gs (who employs curry) in a single-elimination situation.
It's hard beating a team twice. I thought about that. I think the game is closer, but we win. I will say, though: I'm not shedding tears if we close the NO game. Sac is missing Monk and Huerter, and AD is a menace for GS. Then, we get the OKC side of the bracket. I'm not mad at that.
all this "avoid denver" talk is pathetic. they'd have to play them either way if they want a shot at a title, so better to play them in round 1 when they're fresh rather than later on when everyone's banged up like last season but hopefully they can beat NO first. wouldn't surprise me if the pels go nuclear from 3 after the way they lost last game
We did all of this winning just to end up potentially playing Denver in round 1 OR playing a single elimination game against the Sacramento Kings, who own us JUST AS MUCH as Denver does, or the Warriors, who ended the season similarly to us and have a bunch of flamethrowers that can get hot very quickly, and that is DANGEROUS in a single elimination game. Yeah, screw you Ham
What are the chances, Murray makes it thru the playoffs un-injured, again? To be the best, you gotta beat the best but i can see arguments from "both sides" (bring them on camp and the "wait" for them camp). I have doubts we can beat them either way, especially with Ham (even though, his rotations got better lately). Dude can't adapt for s*** though...
but that's the thing...we didn't. if we "did all this winning" we'd be comfortably in the top portion of the playoff bracket. we're where we belong right now. agree on murray not making it through four rounds. disagree that it's a good reason to punk out and risk a single elimination game against teams that have recently beaten our a**. smacks of "we can turn it on". clearly, we can't. we almost lost to the stock room of a fed ex a few nights ago. if you think we can rev it up for gs/sac, then you think we can rev it up for denver, imo.
