If we flame out in Play In or early rounds LeBron won’t let NumbNuts be back, and rightly so. So no one knows how many years or salary per Ham was given?
It’s four years and anywhere between $3-5 million per because of incentives. Eating $6million to dump him isn’t a big deal- it’s the optics of it. Our FO will just look stupid again after wrongfully making Frank the scapegoat and then doubling down on an unproven rookie. That being said, if LeBron wants him gone, he’s gone.
That's what's concerning: 1) who would we be replacing him with? Coaching market doesn't look great this summer (suppose there could be a surprise firing). 2) if we fire Ham, we're still paying him and are we going to hire a dollar store coach or pay a huge salary because right now there's a massive payday wave for HCs. The fact that we've had two qualified HCs in 25 years and then a litter of the worst the league has to offer is beyond pathetic and humiliating as a top tier franchise. I don't trust their next pick much more than this one.
Lakers in no way deserved to win this game: utterly unfocused. Piss poor planning and coaching. -Laker defenders seems to have no idea that James Harden is left handed -AD is a huge guy and when he's guarded by a bunch of shrimps: get him the damn ball. Instead dudes are jacking up 3's -Prince, D-lo, and Reaves dont' seem to care about boxing out -Ham loves 3 guard lineups way too much -Ham is f***ing slow to call TO's So where am I going with this: if Lebron was even 5 years younger, he probably could carry the team like he did tonight but I don't think he can do this night in and night out because he pulled this win out of his a** and he's not going to be motivated to show up a Kawhii every game.
i think our best bet is probably to try to force an innovative assistant on him. like, "you're not fired (yet), but we'd like you to bring in a fresh voice to help, and we'd like to have a (the) say in who that voice is".
I don't get why we didn't pull in a veteran assistant for him from the jump. Feel like a Nate McMillan or someone of that level was out there who could've at least advised Ham on how to handle personnel issues and playing time.
This team just isn’t serious. I won’t be convinced until they start playing good team defense. There was very little played tonight and very little throughout the first three quarters last night.
Totally agree. We're going nowhere with the lack of effort that we've been showing. We need to have much better defense. Let's start with guarding the three point shooters next game maybe.
This team is missing Vando ( and Cam to a lesser extent) a great deal on defense and on the offensive boards but yeah overall just an unserious team , nothing new here
But shouldn’t the players want to win for each other and because they want to? I get it, the coach sucks, but these guys are supposed to be fierce competitors with a sense of pride.
Well, to give them credit, they have been really consistent at not closing out on threes and giving minimal effort on the boards.
Yes, they have been missing their two best individual defenders, BUT this group should be much better defensively, with the guys available. They look like they couldn’t care less on defense.
And we lose in the exact same way to the Nuggets. Crazy times. luckily the Nuggets only have like 4 fans or thus would be worse.
ham turd lets den go on 9-0 run before calling TO, most coach call TO if opponents score consecutive baskets
Honestly, their stars show up in the clutch while LeBron and AD fade. Their role players feed off the energy from Murray and Jokic while ours get tight. I don’t like playing Cam over DLO in the 4th, but we need our stars to play like it when it matters or we’re going to keep losing to these guys. AD and LeBron have to get us over the hump against this team.
