The Warriors have definitely been playing better but they've mostly beaten up on bad teams. They're 9-4 over the last month with the wins coming against the Hawks, Sixers (the game Embiid got injured), Grizzlies, Nets, Sixers (without Embiid), Pacers with a gimpy Haliburton that's only playing to hit the 65 game threshold, Suns on that Steph buzzer-beater and Utah (who has given up) twice. Not exactly a gauntlet. Regardless, beating bad teams consistently is something good teams do. It's probably a loss tonight, but I think we've still got a chance. That Curry/Podziemski/Wiggins/Kuminga/Draymond lineup had been playing really well, but a lot of that was Kuminga being hot from three for a while. He's been regressing back to his usual poor spacing.
If they're still questionable I'm not overly optimistic we'll see them tonight and we could really use at least one of them to chase around Steph
It's f***ing unprofessional.. I want tomorrow Wenbanyana destroy LeBron that he's taking another look what games to seat
OK, if Bron is going to sit in one of the back to backs what's the issue with him sitting this one vs sitting the guaranteed win? Last time we beat them, we had to go to double OT and it was a heavy weight fight that went the distance. If it's anything close to that, the whole team will have nothing for the next one and we risk losing that one too.
if he plans on playing tomorrow, then why not play the more important matchup vs GS as opposed to the game where they wouldn't need him to win? or why not just sit out both if the ankle is a serious problem?
i'm here. i think this game was likely a loss even if lebron plays, might as well get the one we HAVE to get if he's going to miss time. how many more b2bs do we have this year? they're bad for business.
sit guys for clips, bucks, and wolves, cuz we ain't sweeping any of those b2bs save for possibly tor/wiz. it's like watching new orleans pre-trade!
If Bron wants to be able to sit back to backs, he needs to take up less of the salary cap IMO. If you take max money, the team needs max play. I feel the same way about his lack of effort on defense. I know and realize he’s old but the salary cap is the salary cap. It doesn’t care if your players are old. LeBron making money for the Lakers with his brand doesn’t change the salary cap either. Sure it makes more money for the Buss family and in turn they could spend more but you still have the NBA team salary constraints. Also don’t play in a meaningless ASG, that way he could have gotten more rest.
PREACH. been saying it all year. and if he won't take less money, he REALLY needs to shut up about front office moves. we could build a more competitive team if you played for tim duncan/dirk nowitzki money.
Are Durant, Embiid, and Kawhi max players (not do you want them and their injury history/risks, separate question)? That's just not a realistic ask of top 10 players. He works harder in the layup line than he did in that game. Only KAT and Curry broke a sweat in the game. As the biggest player in the world, owes it to fans to show up to something watched around the world, give them at least one memorable moment and then chill. Kobe and MJ would have played, as well.
Yes those guys are max players and my same standard applies to them. You think it’s unrealistic, I don’t.
