This is inexcusable. We had that record with Russ, and we couldn’t do better this year so far with healthy AD and LeBron, that’s insane to me.

Done with this team. We need a new coach and a PG. I don't think we had a good PG since Nick Van Exel. How f***ing sad is that...

how many times does a team lose when they make 23 threes?

games like this are why you don't drop the miami game. they didn't even play that well.

Let's sit them tomorrow. We have a 0% chance against the Clipps right now. Why bother?

    I have a serious question…

Do assistant coaches in general have any influence? What about ours?

I can’t stop thinking about the tall, white, bald assistant on our team that just strikes me as the smartest dude on the bench. I wonder what he thinks about all this and how to fix it?

I also wonder if ANY true laker staff ever scans Laker boards/forums because honestly often times we provide pretty solid insight even if we’re just armchair GMs/coaches.

Not looking to my bday tomorrow. We all know we’re about to get clobbered, badly. Ugh. Sad time rn.

Makes me also think, albeit different personnel….. was the 2020 run lightning in a bottle?

the bald guy is chris jent. he was a longtime assistant in cleveland during lebron's first run there and in atlanta in the late 2010s with ham. unfortunately, i don't think he's capable of fixing the flawed roster or having guys start making 3s

the 2020 team was dominant from start to finish that season. they were a top 3 defensive team all season and when it came time to hit big shots, they came through. the roster was also built perfectly from top to bottom

Lakers franchise has been poorly managed since the great Dr Buss died .

The pbs are structural and way deeper than Ham

Yes there are problems with Ham’s coaching (especially rotations) but in fairness we haven’t seen a complete healthy roster this season. That being said it’s obvious this team lacks a two way PG and secondary rim protection with rebounding

To be fair, Fish was the perfect complementary guard next to Kobe, who was the primary ball handler.

You aren’t going to win the “injuries excuse” argument when our top three players(AD, LeBron, Reaves) have all been healthy.

Pretty sure 5 guys are preferable on the court at all times and substituting is liberally applied.I’ve never seen 3 players on the court by themselves win anything.

Here we go again. Aside from the fact of players “available” for our non corporate billionaire budget that can’t laugh at the penalty tax? And the LeBron/AD engineered Westbrook trade that they had all the juice in the world to override whatever GM and FO misgivings about, having delivered us a championship 1.5 years earlier? And now all of a sudden after 8 years of great talent evaluation that can be ignored?

How about just the coach picking and maybe smaller gripes you care to describe. Can’t just say it’s all deeply flawed when the money’s not on the same level. And it’s not entitled fans’ place to just tell Jeanie “then sell the team”. IMO.

^^^ :Jeanie Srsly: ….. NOT according to Vash who for the entire summer and 1st 2.5 months of the season claimed there were like 4 different ways, other than Pelinka’s plans B and C following having weeks go by wasted in free agency by Snake’s deliberate stringing the Lakers on ….. that Rob should have done better in assembling the rest of that roster after losing the rotation players and talent we did in the AD trade. INCLUDING …. waiting even LONGER to see if we could get involved in some other teams’ deals to help facilitate and do better that way. Every g-damn day!

yep. 2-way pgs are hard to find, but we definitely could have found another center, imo.

DLO has been in the majority of games.
Vincent was never a lock to start.
Every single team, even the ones with good records have to deal with injuries, every single year.

Hence my observation that this team needs a PG
Some teams have a greater margin of error than others.I don’t think this team’s healthy ceiling is championship level but my suspicion is they would be better than what we are currently enduring
