I'd say his track record of success, justifies catering to LeBron's wishes a lot, it's really hard to say otherwise. We were absolutely terrible before he signed in LA. That's with everybody healthy.
I’m not going to argue against this because I agree. I’m glad he came, even though I couldn’t stand him as a player before. I hope he gets one more chance at leading another PNG Squad All the Way.
Refs destroying the game with their stupid flagrant 2 call on Rondo. We had it in hand until they booted him.
AD and Westbrick have to be the worst three point “superstar” pairing of all time. Coming into tonight’s game, Davis was at 14% and Russ was in the 20s. Yeah, let’s totally be cool with letting them keep jacking bricks.
We need Kendrick or THT back soon. Having to rely on Westbrook handling the ball in the 4th is a challenge and regular season Rondo is good once every 5-6 games. Having another legit playmaker will help A LOT.
I have a feeling this is 2012 happening again when we signed Nash and Howard and thought "we will be awesome". We are a sh'tshow right now and I don't expect this Laker team to really be a contender based on what I have seen so far. Can this change? yes. But chances are it won't be what some have envisioned here. Lack of youth, Cohesion, Defense etc. is REAL. And Westbrook is also a real nightmare.
But in 2012, the parts did indeed fit. Unfortunately, Nash was out for practically the entire year, and Dwight's back had not recovered from the offseason surgery. I still think that if everyone was healthy in 2012, we do make a run at the title. This team...the parts don't fit, and they won't fit. If we win it this year, it's going to be Lebron (and to a lesser degree AD) just going supernova and dragging us through.
Or, and I really believe this, we can be so much better if Vogel is allowed to ignore politics and tenure in the league of the players on the roster he was given, and make his decisions on playing time and minutes in crunch time as he sees fit. They simply cannot condone Russ being a turnover machine and making mistakes a high school varsity player shouldn’t make on offense and on defense. This goes for LeBron and AD too as they are seeing the same losing and untrustworthy play we all are seeing as well as the coaching staff. They HAVE to hold him accountable since they brought him in. They have to support the coaching staff if they have to make radical and tough decisions regarding Russ and any of the vets such as not playing them in crunch time when games are up for grabs. Same thing with “matador” defensive play when we get everyone back.
You can’t fail to make an inbound pass especially at that point in the game. Gotta at least call timeout. and leaving Herro open. Yikes. great win but the last possessions were bad for my blood pressure lol
They weren't great, but better than they've been in the past 3 games. After watching Dwight's first sub in, I would have bet everything I own that he wouldn't make it to the final buzzer. It was the anarchy energy. It's dialed up but not necessarily focused in the right, contributing direction. Money would've been on 2 Ts or Flagrant 2 instead of 6 fouls. Lot of energy spent against Haslem and also the Heat bench.
They shot 36 free throws to our 16, we shot 38 threes, they shot 37, so it wasn’t that either. It was a badly officiated game, they swallowed their whistles on our end for a stretch in the 4th, while the Heat were in the penalty for like 8 minutes. I guess to be fair they did get a chippy game under control early, and they didn’t call that Lowry flop a flagrant after a review.
22m:31s from our C's. 1 PTS, 8 REB, 1 BLK, 3 TOV and 8 PF's, yikes. Where's Zu... or Marc when u need one Oh, and Bazemore sucks.
