Those 3 words after Fire ..... annoy me. First whine of the new season for me.

Just the words Bro ... not you.

I like Green Eggs and Ham. Did a good job in the playoffs and out coached everyone but Malone but that was more the personal issues.

we have too much talent on the team SMH

basically an impossible task for the coach to make people happy

    Lebron and AD practicing 3's.

Jeannie suggesting bron might play 5 more years

but all of these tiny gripes pale in comparison to what I have to be happy about. But then again, that's for another thread isn't it?

No. It is not. But the day he's fired can't come soon enough.

He’s not getting fired for crissakes especially considering how good of a job (all things considered) he did as a rookie head coach saddled with Westbrick and all the crap of that roster for 2/3 of the year in the pressure situation of the LA Lakers and 3 rounds of playoffs. Give it up, it’s ridiculous if you’re truly serious.

I know he isn't getting fired. A man can dream?

And no, he didn't do anything to gush about. He stiffled AR's development by starting midgets, he played amazingly idiotic lineups and only when was forced by Rob's trades (Moneyball style) he churned out something resembling a logical lineup. He still played Bron at C, put Rui on Jokic and so so many other moronic things.

Oh, and it took him 1 full season to figure out what the timeouts are for. Rookie coach bullcrap doesn't fly, since any 11 y.o. knows what timeouts are for and how lineups work. He's been in the league for 20 years at this point, he should be less clueless.

Yes, I am dead serious. He is a hindrance. The only skill he MIGHT have is motivating the players, but that's not covering for his many tactical and strategical deficiencies, which we don't have a Tex Winter to compensate for.

Damn..the coaches we knocked off in the playoffs must really suck then! Coaching in the NBA must be incredibly easy...it's amazing that most of these guys are getting paid millions...anybody can do it.

i didn't like his love for ultra small backcourts and think it hurt the team at several points last year, but playing rui on jokic and bron at center weren't bad ideas, imo--at least, they were probably the best options at the time.

i don't like the 4-out system with our personnel; that's my main gripe with ham (or the decision to hire him). he talks a lot about defense, but it sure seems like his decisions are predicated on making his preferred offense work.

this year will be a big one for him, imo. he had a built-in excuse with the crap roster last year (mostly, russ), but this year there really aren't excuses. the roster is very good and should be deep enough to withstand normal injury levels. he's got to deliver.

I thought Ham was fine overall last year. There were definitely some things I didn't like but I do tend to give him room for just keeping that team from quitting. Especially given how terrible we were to start last year.

This year, he's got a complete roster from day one with solid depth in multiple positions. I'm expecting us to look good. There's no real reason for us to be employing any weird line ups given the guys we've got on this team.

SF still maybe an issue. Rui too big for it. Vando not enough offense. Prince got run off the floor by Kuminga.

    Hope Max gets a look

Prince and Reddish struggled. Hopefully they will look better as they get acclimated to the team.

it was a pretty uninspiring game. though i need to remind myself that lebron and reaves were both VERY important to our offense last year. having neither meant points would be tough to come by.

still...we looked outclassed for 48 minutes.

Yes it’s a preseason game but damn some of our guys don’t look like NBA players. woods, Reddish, Hayes, JHS and others need to step up next game to give me hope with the Schroeder-less bench

We have a deep roster but it'll come down to Ham not tripping over himself with lineups.

With Lebron out, inserting Rui was right... (I'm going with Vando being the 5th starter)
With Reaves out you put in Christie... not Vincent.

My dudes Prince and Wood no showing game 1: come on guys - I thought you were the right vets who fit in really well with what the lakers needed and what you're strengths were.

Got to show up or guys like Christie and Hayes are going to gobble up your minutes and a chance for the next big contract!

Prince should be good. My excitement for Christian was severely dampened. Might take him till Christmas to play himself into shape. If he can get enough minutes to even do it. More playing time for Max and hopefully Colin...lol.
