It's the not first time this team can't stay focused in must win games this season Both Lebron and AD have failed BIG time in the clutch this season
Didn’t know where else to post this. I had never seen this explanation of why Stern killed the Chris Paul trade. Cuban was the one that complained because the Lakers would have enough money to sign 2 more stars after the trade and be a dynasty for the next 10 years according to Arenas
feel like arenas's facts can't be right on several fronts. lebron wasn't a FA, for example, and the contract he signed the previous year was 18 per to start, while arenas is claiming the lakers could have signed bosh and lebron for 24 million. he's also suggesting they were going to let kobe walk and use his salary slot to build around paul and howard, which...wasn't going to happen in 2011. i have no doubts that cuban (among several others) definitely lobbied to stop the deal because it meant the lakers would dominate for a long time, but what arenas is talking about simply wasn't possible. and i'm still mad about that veto. it basically tanked the franchise, and there was no justification for it.
I don’t think Arenas was trying to be specific with his examples, he was just throwing out names that were stars at the time without regard to their actual contracts. He was trying to paint a picture of what was in Cuban’s mind. Regarding trading Kobe I think that was also a supposition of what the league owners thought was possible, not knowing the lakers would never do that.
sure, but it doesn't really change that his numbers were wrong to begin with. the way he's talking, it's as if the lakers were going to suddenly have the five best players in the league all on their max deals. miami couldn't even afford three max deals for guys coming off rookie contracts.
Booker gets more B.S. Phantom calls than anyone in the League. I guess these stupid refs have deemed him the new Harden. Shameful and an embarrassment to the game.
It’s a shame because he does have a great mid range game- and we all know who he studied over and over again to perfect it.
One that has been chaffing me for awhile now. I know that guys really like to mix it up with their kick’s colors, but as a Laker, wearing any shade of green on your feet should never be outlawed. Never. It’s gross, and I can’t stand it.
Fortunately for me, all of the teams I root for in any sport on whatever level they may be do not have any hint of green in their uniforms. My WMC however, is the hypocrisy surrounding parity around the NBA (which is a parody to me) when superstars like AD and Lebron (Shaq and Kobe before them) are not getting calls in their favor anymore with no-names now getting the calls, and when a no-namer (to opposing teams) like AR is getting the calls they cry about it. That "Lakers" tag equates to superstar now?
Yeah, I follow Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League and as far as I can remember, they haven’t had any alternate unis in green.
Another WMC, yikes, just checked the Liverpool Reds' kits and their alternate/goalie kits are greenbut it's forgivable though, as it's not their main colors and the team logo has green. Not 100% fortunate after all
Only watched part of the game: seemed like Lavine was too athletic for our guys to matchup. Vando seemed liked a no show need him against thesr two teams with two big athletic wings
