the defense...the hornets announcers were asking what our offense was (and they were right to, once again vogel chuckles off stage), but the defense was just abominable. and lebron led the charge there, quite frankly. nobody else except maybe gabriel and reaves were interested, though.
Yeah, well, when you have better talent younger better results. And with AD out, this is going to get real ugly.
it's problematic that AD carries that much weight defensively. a guy like him should be the difference between being a top defense and being average, not between being average and being league-worst.
Oh darn I missed another game? We’ll at least I’m enjoying the holidays. Why mess it up by watching this team?
the last bit was fairly exciting. i legit thought we had it won when reaves was on break in a tie game with an advantage. and then...bev made his best defensive play of the year...for the hornets.
Well, Charlotte is worse. Though you wouldn't know it by our losing to them. But we do need to make a trade if we want to have any chance of saving this season.
i'm not sure if full-strength charlotte, which they pretty much were for the rare occasion last night--is much worse than us minus AD. and we were at home. we had to win that game. reminds me a bit of the portland and indy home games that i just feel like you lose only if you're a bad team. i mean, good teams lose those games but win a bunch of others, of course, so you let it slide. these are MUST wins if we're trying to be respectable this year, and we just blow them.
Well full strength Lakers with AD is better than full strength Charlotte so really all of this we suck more than they do is pretty silly. They are a bad team with a worse record and are probably going to tank for Victor if they are smart. Otherwise we are saying the same thing. We should have won that winnable game at home against a low win opponent because things are going to get more difficult with a bunch of road games coming up. We stank up the joint because frankly we didn’t give any effort on the defensive end - something that doesn’t have to do with talent but more about having pride and fighting hard. That’s the gut punch of a loss like that. Bring some heart. Gabriel did, Reaves did but a lot of others didn’t.
This FO gave up on the team and the fans. They punted the season when Russ started the season with us. They quit on me, so I quit on them, I’m out until a trade is made, not watching any games.
Unfortunately everything is playing out as many of us thought. The roster just isn’t very good overall, Ham is playing 5 guards at a time, and LeBron will probably end up on the bench next to AD at this rate. Just a complete mess right now.
AD was playing like a MVP candidate but there's no excuse for us being a top 5 team with him and a bottom 2 team without him. That's inexcusable. We look like the worst offensive, worst defensive, worst 3rd Q team, and worst team in the final 5 minutes of the game. That's an awful f***ing combination.
