I've had really good results with Adblocker Plus. LB here used to be a PITA and now is cleaned up. Same thing pretty much everywhere both with Mac computer and iPhone. Some sites, not many, draw a hard line and unless you disable it won't allow you access to the article. Others ask nicely but then let you through anyway.
This roster isn’t fixable with those things. I actually don’t hate this team because they do play hard, they play almost entirely up to their ability for the most part, it’s just a nonsensical roster with pieces that don’t fit or compliment eachother. I hate the front office that did this. We are now giving regular rotation minutes to Matt Ryan, Wenyen Gabriel, and Max Christie. How can you expect to win doing that? Nothing against those guys, they play hard, but 2 were undrafted for clear reasons, and one is a 19 year old kid out of the 2nd round, he should not have to be relied upon at this stage.
We suck for two basic reasons. The team as a whole have shot below their career averages from 3. It’s been historically bad, and no one could have forseen average shooters turn into all time bad shooters 5-15% below their career numbers. Secondly, Lebron hasn’t been Lebron to start the season. The times we look good is when our defence is locked in and when we play at higher tempo on offence. The Lebron style of slowing things down doesn’t work for us because we don’t have the shooters. And it’s why Russ has looked better off the bench when the tempo is higher. Don’t really see how we fix this one without changing personnel.
Yes, please Agree with this Laker hater and the reply We won a title with 2 stars and a deep cast and every team since has also won that way and Rob is STILL TRYING to do the 3 star model.
I think Myles Turner is going to be a laker, whether we trade a first, Bev and Nunn for him in December or he signs in the off-season. I’d personally prefer it to be this off-season when Russ expires. Instead I’d look to be a third team in the KD sweepstakes if it happens, it could allow us to offload that first, Bev and Nunn package for a SF in a three team KD trade. Unfortunately that’s too off brand and we’ll try to land KD instead and roll around with 2 old guys, 1 injury prone AD and a bunch of minimums. Sigh.
my thoughts. not enough ink on lebron not being a top dog anymore. he's not. the reason that spurs play doesn't happen is, in part, because lebron ain't going to move his body on either end like that. beware agreeing with quinn. he wants the worst for the lakers. if the price is the same, give me beal all day. if indy could get beal for turner/hield, it would be done already. as svtzr said: if you want turner as a future piece, i think he's in the bag right now. i've said more than once that i think the bev trade was a f*** you to pritchard: i'll take your guy later if you don't behave reasonably now.
You would honestly want us to have LeBron, AD, Beal, and 12-13 minimums again? We’ve learned nothing from seeing the 3 star model fail over and over again for multiple teams while the 2 star one has won titles? One injury and you’re done, while these other teams have withstood them because of depth. I’m honestly shocked you’re buying this nonsense the FO is selling, Beal is also often injured and insanely overpaid for what he is, and he’s only an option in Pelinka’s fantasies. According to what Windhorst was saying we’d be waiting til the summer to use THREE first rounders on him as well. Yeah no thanks.
After the Clipper game - many hours later, as I climbed into bed - I thought, "This team is unfixable right now. Am I ready to watch another year of CRAP Lakers games?" I realized. I will. It's not good for me. I know it. It often puts me in a bad mood to see them lose, night after night. It feels like the bubble championship year was 13 years ago, we've been through so much badness. I catch myself saying, "This team is really 'better' than they've looked so far. Maybe they'll go on a run and..." "Ham will come up with a scheme that really clicks." "These guys are way better because of the subtraction of all the geezers from last year..." <-----all that is the thinking of an ADDICT. That's why I know I'm going to continue as a fan, even though it's probably shortening my life. Don't get me wrong. I do wish I could quit. But I can't. I began watching the team religiously when the starting five were West, Goodrich, Hairston, McMillian, and Chamberlain (Elgin got hurt early in the season.) The Lakers are going to break my heart. I'll just take it and rationalize. Did you guys see the 2nd half of the Clippers game, where Lebron had the ball near the baseline, and a Clip came over to double him and he make a super-fast-accurate wraparound bounce pass along the baseline to another Laker? Holy s***! #Incurable
Tear it all down. Trade Westbrick near the deadline for a couple of decent pieces and give up ZERO picks. Refuse to do anything that Klutch wants, then by the time the summer rolls around, LeBronze and AD will want out. They won’t, because they will ride the LeBron money train until the wheels fall off.
Trade AD for picks and/or young players. In the offseason, do the same with Lebron. Re-sign Reaves and Troy Brown Jr, to contracts similar to the one we handed out to Caruso from 2019-2021, keep Max Christie and dump the rest of the team. Pretty much I agree with what was said in this LN podcast: ^Summary: Go the Memphis Grizzlies/Utah Jazz route. Draft and develop young players, prioritize bird rights, go with the two star player model and stop with the 3rd star obsession.
