i'd agree, but tbh, i tuned out in those years, too. just focused on the draft, and most of that waited until spring, too. we shouldn't romanticize that period, and we should try like hell to avoid repeating it.
I’m truly at a loss as to what we need to do to become competitive again. We mortgaged the future for AD and Russ. At least we got one title out of it with AD.
Lakers tkt are tops in the league in terms of price, they have the spectrum tv deal with countless fans ALL over the world.....for a team with such a rich history, Jeannie has tarnished alot of what her father built. Ive never heard a coach talk bout salary cap issues before, so clearly Rob/Jeannie/Execs must have sold him on that issue already. Rob from the onset of his hire has said he wants to built a team thats sustainable but yet we've seen year over year that the team made up of 1yr contract guys and consistently trading away 1st rd picks every chance he has some to work with. This entire FO is a joke and a disgrace
Negan and Jeanie turning Lakers into a joke. I can't tell, who's more lost, but we're in for a lot of suffering.
Richard Jefferson can shut the f*** up. He’s only relevant because he was on Lebron’s team. Sick of these media commentators giving negative takes against the lakers for views.
If LeBron was playing like LeBron is capable of playing at his age, including hitting his last several years' average of Js and 3 pt shots, to go along with AD approaching himself on D and sometimes on offense (in the key, not Js) this team would be doing better than it is. Maybe .500 or better IF everyone that Rob signed had been available from the get go. IMO.
yeah...what? signing for over market value was his biggest mistake? you're assuming he's chasing titles. always check assumptions on theories. worst case scenario, he forces a trade to a contender, keeps all his cash and wins another ring. worst case, he's rich and breaks the scoring title in a place where people care about it and watch even if the team's bad.
We suck. That is all. I mean -17 in the FIRST f***ING QUARTER. EDIT: I stand by it. Digging ourselves out of holes for the wheels to come off in 4th is what will doom us.
Who could have predicted a LeBron injury from carrying this team? Hmm… I wonder if AD will get one next…
we're only a few games in, and already I can barely muster up any care about this team. Not supposed to be like that
