Lonzo is okay is when he's healthy. He isn't what he was supposed to be, but he's alright, nor is he Tatum who we should have drafted.

Okafor? The league was trending in a certain direction (away from the traditional center); we drafted Russell that year, who I loved, but he's bounced around, too.

He's an NBA player, though. Probably same tier as Zo...

OK fair enough. But .... but .... gawddamned those ginormous hands of Okafor's.

    :Kaream Surprise:

Plus the nice big man footwork and offense harking back to a different era as it seems now.

for the record, i wanted to trade down in the lonzo draft, and i preferred okafor to russell, but wasn't mad about russell. it was hard to know that okafor's mentality sucked, imo--and that's a big reason he never had a career. he was quite talented, just was kind of a brainless thug. didn't feel like that was obvious at duke, but it is now!

almost nobody predicted tatum would be what he is now--even his supporters in that year. i'd like to see the receipts, tbh, as i really don't remember any strong rallying cries for tatum in particular.

Why would a team trade Hayward and Rozier for us for just an expiring contract when they don’t need cap relief?

I’m pretty sure Charlotte doesn’t want to tank yet either and hope Melo can take them to the playoffs.

That would have been Magic all over Lonzo as next great Lakers point guard.

When speaking about Earvin and his talent evaluation skills, it should be illegal to call him “Magic.”

I didn’t like Okafor or Lonzo honestly. Came around on Lonzo since we were pretty much dead set on drafting him.

I do remember that one guy who got banned “BALL IS A MISTAKE”.

    Lol. Simpler times around here.

Lakers fans complain about everything we just do.

LBJ could leave tomorrow, we could trade AD, draft Wenbemyama (spelling), be number 1 in the West, etc.

We'll never be happy, lol. But man, if people think this is bad, go on Twitter. It's 100X worse...lol

Oh yeah. Twitter is brutal. I couldn’t argue with much of it though. Tough but a lot of it was pretty fair IMO.

Lol. Did you see Rob trending after both games? Pitchforks were out quick but I expected that.

I wasn’t here at the time, but at my other forum, I was for Fox as well.

Twitter is a cesspool of reactionary hot takes with limited characters where people say things that sound really illuminating but are generally shallow and useless.

    - there you go, that’s a perfect tweet illustrating the point

We had that one in hand. No need to bring Russ back in.

shooting was awful as usual. No surprise that average three point shooting in the third got us a lead.

This can’t go on. 20 games in we are going to be out or the playoff picture. Either you throw the season away or you make a move now to try to save it. Try one last time to go for it all with LeBron and AD, and if not move on from them, this dancing on the line, in the middle crap is a joke.

Wow. That was a good game with an awful result. You just can’t play Russ with the game on the line. Doesn’t work.
