Our new Cs haven't looked very good. Better than last year, but the bar is so low that I think Huff as the only center on the roster would clear it. They both look much closer to 3rd stringers than starters. It's way too early to give up on them, but I did think we'd get more out of the gate from each of them. I think Bryant can get there as soon as he can shake the cobwebs. And maybe Jones just needs to wash the Sacramento off of him. I do wonder if their less than stellar play moves the needle any for Rob on the Indy deal where Turner comes in and solves those issues.
What adds to the woes is the fact that we don't have a clear large wing for the 3 enabling AD to slide to the 5 and LBJ to the 4. So we either go super small or suffer with our newb 5s.
This is kinda interesting, because I was sure that the bigs were our best signings/additions this year. Maybe I was wrong.
yeah, bryant has played better, and jones is a guy who probably needs some time with his teammates/system because he really depends heavily on it to be effective. seems like gabriel is the early working solution there. slot him in at the 5 defensively with AD and lebron with the smaller unit. if you have reaves and russ or reaves and nunn out there with them, the lineup isn't that small.
He has a season to convince me, but so far, I’m completely unimpressed with Walker. He has good athleticism, but that’s about it. His shot is suspect and I really don’t understand how he fits with this team. What’s his role expected to be? Christie is only 19, hasn’t played a real game yet and already looks way more impactful than our big Mid Level addition.
like i mentioned before, walker is statistically one of the league's worst defenders and shot 31% from 3 last season. he was an awful signing
It's part of the charm of this place. I participate sometimes, and other times I just act like I am. Both versions make me happy.
But he’s young and athletic and last year we sucked because we were old and slow so there’s only two extremes Rob can choose from! (Sarcasm)
This team clearly isn't committed to winning a championship when they let go of one of the only players who name alone bring people together. https://www.si.com/nba/lakers/news/...oy-adds-shaquille-harrison-lj-figueroa-ak1987
