i mean, the fact that the busses aren't billionaires might speak to why the franchise isn't operated optimally, tbh.
Besides we already have Ham’s pick in Chris Jent for shooting coach among other thing who’s supposed to be pretty good at it, allegedly. AD who needs it most picked his own guy again anyway with Lethal Shooter this time.
I agree with LVBD. I’ve been cautiously optimistic about moving Russ for some solid players this offseason and Rob addressing the holes in this roster. But it’s looking like we are going to be stuck with what we have now. That’s a failure.
I said at the end of last season that Rob basically had to bat a 1000 for us to be back in contention. So far our FA signings and the Pat Bev trade have been very underwhelming.
I don't know about a spoon, spoon is very functional. More like a butter knife when eating a well done steak.
this and the time machine comment are endlessly frustrating. kcp/kuz/caruso. i do think that picking us to miss the play-in requires predicting a third straight year of lebron/AD missing huge chunks of time, though. that one guy's just being a hater.
Man hasn't had much flexibility to work with. I'm holding off judging until leBron is gone. He already delivered one championship. I'm sure he'd do some things different given the chance, but I'd like to see him get that chance.
I just can't believe the FO saw what happened (or rather didn't happen) with THT this past season and was like, "lets do that again, but with a much older and shorter guard!"
At least one article recently said we currently view Beverley as a 3&D wing. Last year the Lakers went into the season saying THT was going to be a 3&D wing, or at least play 3 for us. That’s the comparison, both ideas are ridiculous. Pat can guard some wings competently on switches for sure, but you’re not gonna put him on wings, and if you are you’re asking for it. We’re asking for it in general with this small ball stuff though, JTA is 6’6 he’s not a PF, we have no legit backup PF unless you’re counting LeBron as that. The idea of sliding Reaves to the 3 is dumb as well, Trevor Lane pointed out tonight that last season we gave up so much more offensive rebounds with Reaves at the 3 than at the 2 because we were playing small with him at the 3. I still have nightmare flashbacks of us being just destroyed on the offensive boards last season because we were so small, and we’re doing it again. We won a title with a big team at every position, we mainly stuck to that the next season with Marc, Trez and Drummond, and then we just tossed all that out the window.
