Some of the worst basketball I’ve ever seen from a pro team. Last years team was special for all the wrong reasons.

 

Still think it was The worst trade in Laker history. Just hangs over the franchise now.

lol, was just harping about this in the FA thread. the knicks have already signed (or executed a s&t!) brunson, wall to the clippers (and everyone else it seems), but man, if we're linked to anyone, the press will be after it with the hammer of thor.

 

I can't tell you how much that tip ceremony with Bron's between the legs pass back to a hopping Brick annoyed me. It was dumb and looked the part.

 

Bush League, but completely fitting for that season.

 

i wonder what that conversation between two grown men and future hall of famers sounded like.

yeah, a frightening thought occurred to me that maybe rambis's job is so safe because he privately warned against the russ trade or something. just nightmare fuel.

 

just imagine that maybe our dumbest FO person has that one ace in the hole for eternity...it's like some bizarro version of jerry west drafting kobe.

It’s a “contract/rest of his career” year. He can’t be that dumb to not do what’s required, right? Never mind, rhetorical question.

 

honestly, if he thought it was that kind of year, he would have played harder last year and opted out to get a long-term deal. he talks like he knows nobody's going to pay him again, imo. lots of reference to prior greatness and things he's earned or whatever. very little reference to what he's actually bringing right now or working on.

 

Think how motivated he’ll be on his next team after this year playing for vet min likely or “maybe” at most TPMLE max money.

 

unless they make some great signings this offseason to actually improve the defense, i'm not going to even bother watching most of the time with westbrick still on the team because it'll just be a rewind of last season. no defense, missed layups, lebron iso ball, etc
