From the moment he arrived he has said he didn't want to play center. For most of 2019-2020 season and playoffs we paired him up with a true big up front. Most of our success have come when we have gone big with situational and quality short spurts of AD at C. AD is who he is and hes said and shown that he cant handle the physicality. And yet hes been asked to play Center largely to please a certain Lebron James. Smdh
I'm about done with THT, he's an absolute liability most of the times makes dumb plays, takes bad shots, sheesh
Too bad AD got hurt. Some of these losses against Portland for example don't look nearly as bad. Simons is playing like a star and Nurkic is doing the contract year thing for them
I agree: I mean if you looked at what Portland was trying to do they were using screens to get THT off of Mitchell so they could target Monk. THT is very hit or miss on offense but on offense, he's on the same trajectory as KCP and Caruso where - he's going to be a defensive stopper for a long time
I’ve seen you say this before on my posts. Is this referenced towards me and using advanced stats in some of my arguments? If so, elaborate on the joke so I can laugh with you.
His shooting was not there but he had 3 blocks just in the first half. He played some amazing defense. Some of his shots were end of the clock heaves when he was left in a bad position not of his own causing.
if THT played for orlando or something, i'd bet his offensive numbers would look pretty good. even 3pt shooting would be respectable. because he'd have a steady diet of shots from spots that he was expecting and the team would play more to his strengths. he's having to be a bit player because of our team's aspirations instead of us trying to develop him. if he can just keep giving this level of defensive effort and execution, he'll be worth his salary on that, but i think we just can't play him/lebron/russ the minutes they all need and have them all be successful. and THT's the one who's really going to suffer because he's still the worst option of the three to handle the ball and direct the offense.
I agree with you on everything here except the three point shooting. It’s bad. It looked great for a few games when he came back and he had some decent nights a couple games back. But he’s shooting 28% on the year and that’s just a fact. He needs to work a LOT on it this summer. Because he’ll get those shots. He needs to knock them down going forward. His step back high arc jumper is looking good though.
Total bonehead play by Melo. Plenty of time on the clock, all we needed was a 2, and he chucks a long 3 that isn't even close.
It’s actually not that bad if you just wait to watch the games once they are over. If they win, I watch. That’s how much faith I have in this “team.”
How were the clips allowed to challenge a play that happened before the call was made? I'm still confused This season just needs to end
What the hell was that last play? 17 seconds down by one and all we come up with is a desperation three from 28 feet?
