yes, this ranking system, that has kevin love, robert williams, mike conley, fred vanvleet and others ahead of AD is definitely THE way to evaluate players.

we should totally trade AD for rudy gobert, because the fanbase wouldn't complain about him at all. hard alpha.

maybe if we throw in a few firsts, we can get jarrett allen for AD?

 

This is the fallacy of advanced stats in a vacuum. I’d only take three players over AD…

 

yep, luka/giannis/jokic i add picks and pack his bags for him. they can have lebron, too.

in order for me to move AD for most of the rest of that list, the same stuff has to come my way.

actual max players (guys for whom the max was created so that other people could still make money), much less guys that are all-nba and play both ends, are just so rare.

we built a defense-first team around AD/lebron and won a title. we could have done it again, and we could, in theory, build a future one around AD, a scoring (booker, beal, tatum type) or distributing or better yet both (mitchell, morant type) and a bunch of defenders.

And then theres the Wall/Wood deal that we turned down...

MAJOR changes need to happen this off season and not just to the roster or coach either (to be clear I'm still team Vogel but he'll probably be the scapegoat). Changes higher up need to happen.

 

I really am floored we turned down a Wall and Wood trade.

^ this has been the case for the last 2+ months when they did not adjust to the basketball philosophy from the top all the way down to coaching down to strategic on-court play.

the schroder trade would have cost us nothing, so i'm ok. wood for THT while getting russ out is one we'll have to revisit.

i will say that houston fans hate wood, despite his production in the box scores. don't know if he's their kuz like tht is our kuz, though.

 

I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't have minded Schroder.

I also question Ramona's "reporting". I don't know how dependable as say: Amick, Shams, O'Ram, etc.

Things weren't looking great before AD's latest injury, now I think it's officially nail in the coffin. Lebron will have to probably play the best basketball of his life in order for us to make the playoffs. And that's if he doesn't get injured in the process. What a disaster.
