i actually wanted to take the guys sac took, which should have been a red flag.

actually, i wanted to trade down and use one of the picks to get the paul george deal done, iirc.

anyway, didn't want lonzo. i sort of foresaw him becoming what he is, which is fine, but not really a building block.

wouldn't be surprised to see them make the finals with the way they defend

let's just hope that doesn't happen

wouldn't surprise me if they win it all now that lowry's out/hobbled. and the alternative is philly, so...go...boston?

If they weren't the Celts, I'd actually like their team. They play the way basketball is supposed to be played. Yes, the offense is sometimes stagnant, but they do play together and defend very well.

    That sucks.

Milwaukee vs Golden State will be a tremendous finals matchup. I anticipate Curry notching his 4th ring and first finals mvp

Can totally see C Bags in the Finals. They have the Embiid killer in Horford and Bucks are hobbled with Middleton.

Yeah, if they stay relatively healthy, the Warriors seem to be capable of winning the championship this year.

i would say the C Bags likely won't get past the bucks, but middleton's injury changes that for sure

i'd really, really hate to root for the sixers if it was philly-boston in the ECF

Philly has a 3-1 lead, Doc doesn't do well in that kind of scenario to close out the series. Let's see if TOR can do something historic

middleton sprained his mcl. doubt he's really able to be himself for round 2, so they're going to lose to boston pretty handily, i'm guessing.

I would not count out the Champs/Giannis yet. He's the best player in the league going on for nearly 3 years now. That team may not have Middleton but they have other players who can still contribute in different ways to complement Giannis. Remember BOS had their own chemistry issues as well to start out the season, I can see MIL try to go back to the tape and see what they can use from that time against Boston now.

Giannis is playing like this without Middleton. He'll do just fine vs BOS

Sorry, I’m rooting for Boston if they face Philly.
There is no way I will ever root for any team that has Beardo McFloppington on it. Never.
Btw, Ron Artest landed the most beautiful elbow ever swung on a basketball court, so many moons ago.
Also, I’m a huge Tatum fan, like Jalen Brown’s game and LOVE how that squad executes defensively.

Just this morning reading this forum I learned: flaccid Stand was up all night in a graveyard shift pounding his WB narratives that aren't coherent, Ingles is a renowned competitor, and the Bucks over Boston in a gentleman's sweep without their second best player.

    Really?

without middleton, i don't see how you bet on the bucks against boston. i'm not sure it goes to 6 games, tbh.

and with lowry and butler fighting injuries, philly will get a free pass to the conference finals (with lowry and butler, i pick miami in that series and probably the next one if not two).

injuries are again the major story.

Yeah, I don't think it's much of a series. Cs have been defending at another level.

Smart and Holiday cross each other out. C Bags have bigs (Williams, Al) and wings (Tatum, Brown) to run at Giannis. He's going to tire and he HAS to carry their offense regardless. Just look how they shut down KD. And for the Bucks, Middleton was central to them being able to defend Tatum and Brown. They can't afford for Giannis to burn all his energy defending them.
