Ham is being a politician. He has his dream scenario that he wants this team to be but the reality is something quite different and he is just trying to force the square peg into a round hole.

Talk about made up nonsense. Those two guys might have played 5minutes at a time, together all season.Maybe That's an example, of looking for something to make a big deal about.

theres good reason why jax wasnt resigned by pels' n wood only got vet min even with those solid #s...but if Hamhock doesnt have any say on which players to target in offseason then maybe he shouldn't be the hc, similar to Vogel, rob forced players and assistant onto him

Rob runs the show period..the HC is replaceable. If he doesn't follow the script, he better win big. That's why Frank got canned.

ham supposedly wanted wood and recruited him hard. ham wanted the five out, so rob didn't go after any actual centers. i'm sure we could have gotten one (biyombo was unsigned until after the season started) had we wanted one.

the bizarre thing is that i think ham's plan was to play wood next to AD at times and survive on offense, but wood has been terrible on offense, so that plan got flushed.

Hayes was one of our 1st FA signings. He has never been remotely considered to be an outside shooter. I also don't think that Ham intended to start Wood, after we just gave Rui a 14M dollar contract either. That doesn't make any sense. It also kind of hard to say his offense has been terrible on 5 shot attempts a game, when the guy was avg double digit shot attempts, for the last 3 seasons. We don't run any action for him, he's a catch and shoot guy, not a post up or iso player. I'm a bit confused as to what he and Ham talked about everyday too myself, considering how he's being used.

Sounds like AD is wondering why Wood and Hayes aren't playing more lately too.

I’m extremely underwhelmed by the backup big rotation too, but realistically what were our other options? Beggars can’t be choosers. Which other centers went for the minimum who would have been a better fit?

Pretty sure there was a report that we had pending offers out to Biyombo and Wood for a while, Wood is the one who eventually accepted. Biyombo ended up signing with Memphis for like $5 million using one of their disabled player exceptions.

But Ham with like 5 players above in his thread, including LeBron, AD, Reaves and Hachimura made comments that aren’t hard to read between the lines their confusion and frustration …. ROCKS. And Vogel sucks.

Yeah on that last sentence. Frank rocked here for a season though.

As for frustration and discomfort, Meh..that's all good, they should be frustrated with losing. He made a lineup change, let's see how they respond.

We have 5 games left in December, the results will speak for themselves.

oh wow. hadn't heard that. good for biyombo on holding out, i guess. glad to hear (if true) that we valued them similarly. this makes me less annoyed.

Freaking hypocrite! Five guys are chirping at Ham including the Big Dogs. And it’s the Slick “MEH” it’s all good … they should be unhappy.

But when it comes to Frank ….

Can we get a serviceable backup big man to not kill AD?

I think this new starting lineup may work in the regular season, but I'm still concerned about the long-term viability.

It won't work in the PO. Even in yesterdays game AD had to dribble the ball up the court. It's a disaster waiting to happen...

Well LeBron and AD can score. Better, if the key is not all jammed up from laying off guys that can’t shoot from outside. Which Vando and (pretty much) Reddish as well …. cannot. So Ham’s kind of peeing into the wind here hoping that Prince is enough to keep it going with the good % from deep. Still that’s 2 guys in the lineup at the same time that will be sagged way off from to clog it.

On the flip side yeah the defense, last night anyway, was fun! LeBron and Vando have to remain healthy enough to play it that hard.

yeah, it's gimmicky. it could be shelved as soon as day after tomorrow, imo. AD as point-center is...interesting.

It's 2020 style with less shooting and less vertical spacing .

AD and Bron have to be more involved offensively which is both a good and bad thing .

I think Austin has to start

This makes sense. I really think you have to have one of your ball handling guards start.
