WMC - thrilled to get that win and we showed some heart at the end, especially AD. But wow did that first half stink. We were trash. We need: A. Reaves back like yesterday. B. A trade for someone good C. Hopefully get rid of Russ at the deadline.

WMC: Taking Rui out for Russ at the 5 min mark and making it way harder than we needed to with this game.

Continuing to play 3-guard lineups even after Rui trade...so fricking frustrating.

This Kyrie distraction may prove disastrous to my season’s ultimate goal of nullifying the pick swap with the stupid birds. We need the win against NO. Eye on the prize Lakers!

I don’t understand your season goal? If we don’t execute the pick swap this year, they just get it next year anyway? I’d rather just get it over and done with truthfully so we have access to next year’s pick.

No dawg, the pick swap is it’s own separate thing. The last FRP we owe can be taken next year or the year after at their option. We owe them a pick swap this draft AND another first rounder, which they can collect either 2024 or 2025, that’s why we can’t trade first round picks until 2027.

You've posted this in three different threads and I proved to you it was a FAKE report.

I have a sick suspicion that the Mavs or Suns are going to get Kyrie instead of us. I think the Nets are going to delude themselves into thinking they can still contend if they swap Kyrie for CP3 or Dinwiddie/Wood/DFS. The Suns in particular worry me because that new owner is set to take over any day now, new owners always want to make a splash.

haha. Luka is a b****, no way he gets along with Kyrie. Suns just got out of a PR nightmare, zero chance.

he’s either going to be a Laker or stay a Net.

To piggyback on that, going to use this chance to issue out this PSA

This deadline is going to be a s*** show nightmare thanks to Musk since anyone can have a blue check now. Things get aggregated from regular Joes now.

Going to use this opportunity to remind everyone to check the source carefully between now and the deadline. Most resharing accounts share where they got it from. Check that account. If it's someone who isn't sharing where they got it from, there's probably a reason why. Look around, see if anyone else is reporting it. Twitter search and see if anyone is talking about it.

And just because it's a blue check or they have a lot of followers, that doesn't mean anything. Two examples of that today: I saw one blue check account say Kyrie to LA would be done today. It was retweeted by a reputable account and that's how it found its way to my feed. But the red flag was I've never heard of this person before (by now we know nearly all the news breakers) and the second response to their post was someone pointing out this person bought their blue check. Another rumor from a random blue check had 50k followers that he earned as a stock market guru but in his free time, he pulls NBA rumors out of his a** and that easy to tell by looking at his five most recent tweets.

And we haven't even gotten to the fake Shams and Woj accounts that will pop up this year as a blue check. It's the wild west out there this year.

@JSM it would be great if you would copy this post in the Transactions thread too.

This is an inexcusable loss, watching our playoff chances crash and burn. I’m starting to wonder if with even a big trade or multiple smaller ones that this team doesn’t have time to gel and maybe can’t overcome a rookie coach.

By far the worst loss of the year: a game the Lakers looked like the better team, had the right personnel to match up, and just blew it with poor coaching, lackadaisical and stupid plays (offensive boards and that stupid Wenyen TO man, FTs)

Not with the stakes involved now: Pacers are in the East. You need to pass NO now :team desperately needs to go on a long winning streak and they had it only to let it go
