Yeah that was garbage. Up by 19 and you don’t close them out and end up losing? That sucks.

No complaints, this is just a wake up call not to play down to the competition

Lebron/AD played almost 38 minutes just to lose, should have just rested.

You could see late in the 3rd GSW started playing more inspired D. Through the 4th the Lakers didn't take it to the rim more than a couple times, , if that. Settled for jumpers and missed a lot of them.
LBJ wasn't helping with all the bricks either.
Schroeder was nails early. Wish he finished that way.

wow. turned it off and went to bed in the first half thinking the only way gs wins is curry going nova. wake up and see he was contained and we lost to a pretty meh gs team. glad i didn't watch.

from the box score, it seems the TOs were once again a problem. we killed them on the boards and shot pretty similarly. should win those games.

My complaint: I went to bed during halftime thinking: "wow, we're such a great team, amazing chemistry etc... there's no way we're losing this!"

I wake up and we lost by 2? How in the world did that happen? Schroeder was cooking, we're hitting threes, ball movement was nice... Trez was dunking on people... I was sure it's another blowout.

Oh well. You have to lose some, I guess. Time for the road trip.

Lakers got complacent. Then hit that 7 minute drought in the 4th qtr...

Lebron and AD played super lazy. Like they didn't care, it was actually pretty infuriating

Lebron particularly was just awful. And no way he should have played 38 minutes when he was that off. This is the rare game where Lebron's play actually hurt us.

I really don't like the Kuzma/Matthews combo particularly if they are the backcourt duo. That experiment needs to end: so slow and no ball handling.

That lineup was there in the second quarter when GS was able to turn it around

That was one of those 2001/2002 Lakers “we’re the champs, we don’t really care about this one game” kind of games. It bugged me then and it bugs me now, but, I am used to it.

yeah, the bit i watched, they were outclassing the warriors' starters. they just let up. pretty much all our losses (save maybe the clips game) featured a kind of meh-ness.

What a mess of a game.

Lebron was disengaged the whole game. I don't know what was going on with him. In the 2nd half, we were completely out of sorts, then that long scoring drought. Golden State smelled the opportunity and took advantage, tightening up their defense. We couldn't adjust and we lost. It shouldn't have come to that in the first place.

There was no sense of urgency, which was the opposite of what we saw on the road.

yikes that second half, third quarter in particular. why did vogel leave lebron and AD in for 9-10 minutes while they were losing the lead anyway. i mean, starting up by 27 allows you to do this, but it was just sort of...weird...i feel like THT and the bench would have extended the lead, tbh.

    anyway, that's my wmc.

in general i feel that we're playing LeBron/AD a little too much early on in the season and there's times when they're clealry disengaged. We need to sit them when they're disengaged like that...we got guys off the bench that should be able to handle most teams. Give your 2nd unit a bit more confidence and stop having one of AD or LeBron on the floor at all times. I thought getting schroder/trez/gasol over the summer would eliminate the need to have them on the floor at all times

right. when you're up 27 and you've let the lead slip a bit, why not show confidence in your bench and keep your normal rotations. but vogel kept both guys out there for a long time in the third. i'm sure he had his reasons, but it seemed counterproductive on several levels.

Understood, but it's all fine. None of our starters had to play in the fourth quarter so it was all good.

eh, something to talk about from an otherwise pretty routine beating. i'll say this: had he kept them in for 10 minutes in the third and the bulls came all the way back--instead of cutting the lead in half in half a quarter--he'd have been re-inserting the stars to play 35+ minutes and pull out a win that should have been in the bag.

i'm just saying if i were a reporter post-game, it would have been my first question:

in the first half, you sat lebron early and brought him back late in the first. but you played him nearly the entire 3rd even as he clearly wasn't all that interested in batting around the dead canary carcass that was the chicago bulls. what gives, vogel?
