tough call. like the clips, the suns will get weaker because chris paul hasn't played a full healthy season in forever. but when he's right, he's terrifying, imo. just like kawhi.

honestly would rather utah in round one. tons of pressure on them as a 1 seed, and i think we can match up well when we've got everyone. i'd also like to see denver in round 1. ideally, we stay where we are, play denver, then utah, then whomever emerges from the clippers/suns bracket (clippers, probably--i would have had dallas as a dark horse until their recent play) in the wcf.

If we are healthy I’m not that concerned about who we end up playing, but I kind of like the matchup right now as either the 4th or 5th seed. I’d like to leapfrog the Nuggets for 4th and have home court over them. I don’t want to sink down to 6th or 7th.

I like where we are too. But to hold it, we will need AD back and dominating. He will likely ease back in - restricted minutes and no banging.

We need to split with the Mavs, beat the Blazers, and win the games against the Kings, Magic, Wolves, Pacers and Rockets.

If we can win1 or 2 against the Raps, Knicks, Wizards and Pels - that should do it.

    7 more wins, somehow.

Yeah, #4 or #5 should work splendidly for us.

didn't see the game, but they shot 57% from the field and outrebounded us by 10. surprised it was that close?

Blazers lost. Good. How long will Dame be out?

They and Den have tough schedules to finish.

Blazers have a super hard last 14 games: Denver twice, Grizzlies three times, Utah, Suns, Lakers, Boston, Nets, Spurs, and Hawks. Plus a 6 game road trip before they come home to play us. Yikes!!!

Dallas has it really easy. I see the Blazers falling to 7, beating Memphis to stay there, and being happy to face the Suns in round 1 (rather than the Clips or Lakers).

Of course, Blazers’ dream would be to get 5, play Den without Murray, then Utah, the Suns (avoiding LA altogether). Lol

Frankly, it really wasn't that close. But we can take care of them in the playoffs if we're healthy. I do have respect for their team, they play great basketball, but I want to see them make some noise in the playoffs first before I give them too much praise. Regular season isn't very important.

Picking up Bogdonovich didn’t hurt them for sure. And Clarkson’s a stud on offense.

    Zubac
    Randle
    Ingram
    Russell
    Ball

    Clarkson
    Nance Jr.
    THT? Maybe?

I know I was impatient as any Lakers fan, but had we been patient, this team may have been something. The drafting from 2014 to 2019 was pretty amazing.

i think you and i have already done this, but to me, that's basically boston, which isn't a real contender, imo. you've got maxes or near maxes on russell/randle/ingram and big money due to ball soon, and you're in 6th place. not bad. but not AD/lebron.

what's more annoying is that we got basically nothing for clarkson, nance, russell, and randle in trade. yowzers. we got one 1st for russell and let lopez walk.

once again, thank you lebron for saving the franchise.

I think this team has more talent than Boston if they had good chemistry.

nance and clarkson were shipped out to create cap space for lebron, so that pretty much had to happen

wish they could've gotten more in return for russell, but given that he was traded so someone would take the awful mozgov contract, it's not surprising they couldn't get more

losing randle for nothing sucks though. especially given the player he's become

weren't clarkson and nance sacrificed for the second max that we didn't get in the first lebron summer?

It's amazing how bad we shoot. If not for our defense we'd get blown out every game.

KCP and Schroder would not be included in that appraisal tonight anyway, with KCP not at all lately. Schroder too for that matter. THT is coming along, with his attempts at the hoop and that Dirk/Lebron step/fall back one legged already being money. AD obviously will be there when rust is shaken and .... not a statement that can be made every night. We’ll be OK by the playoffs.

We made more baskets, more 3’s, more offensive and defensive rebounds than Dallas. Only reason we lost this game was the refs. Hard to win games when the other team shoots 19 more free throws. I don’t care how good Luka is. The guy in a whiny punk and I can’t stand him. He has perfected the BS jump into your defender Harden move. It’s disgusting.

2 possession game at the end, about 12 seconds left... caruso (of all people surprisingly), starts slowly jogging and dribbling the ball up to the front court instead of sprinting and getting a quick shot to extend the game... moving as if we’re not down by 4-5 points and trying to win the game.... ended up with someone else chucking a 3 IIRC... that was kind of annoying. hope we win on sat.
